Pencil Clip

Pencil Clip

Metal clip on my mechanical pencil broke, so I designed and printed a new one. I can buy replacement lead and erasers, but if the clip breaks you have to buy a whole new pencil. Until now ;)

I think it's a Pentel brand, but ive used it so long there are no marks left on it. Had a few prototypes break, but this clip has been holding up well for about a week.

Socks, scissors and funnels have 1 thing in common...

Seriously, I ain't going to look for my funnels, maid hides them from me or something.

One is for filling bird feeder with wild bird seed, now it just flows

The other is for filling my vape juice bottles from the 1lt bottle

Print them in vase mode, they come out nice.

Radius Estimator

Radius Estimator

I’m working on some scales for a knife I’m making (blade is from a kit). I needed to estimate the radius of the curve behind the bolster, so I designed some simply radius gauges I can hold up to the knife.

Useful enough that I made a series of four gauges with radii going from 10 to 85 mm in 4 mm increments.

I nice bonus was that the Prusa sliced recognized the raised letters as a logo and offered to automatically insert code for swapping filament colors. I love it when software is smarter than I am.

Hikmicro B10 Macro-Lens

Bought a thermal imaging camera and saw that it can work with macro lenses. Original price for lens and adapter is around 200 bucks. 2/3 of the price of the whole camera. Printables and Aliexpress to the rescue and 15 bucks later I have a functioning macro-lens attachment for the B10. Lovely!

My first display piece I'm actually proud of

My first display piece I'm actually proud of

Inspiration came because christmas is coming up and i needed a gift for my dad. Mom and brother are getting a moon and deathstar lamp respectively. My dad loves sailing so i came up with this. Designed in onshape over the course of four days. The sails were a bitch but im glad i got it figured out. Anyway let me know if theres interest in stl's. Final version will have some changes for easy of assembly.

Help with structure longterm resistance - Resin Print

Hello all,

My wife made this design and we got a resin 3D printer to print it.

Her 3D designer friends are saying that the top will bend forward with time. As you can see, it is a 40cm tall piece with a thin support.

We planned for the balance by making the base solid resin and the bodies hollow. However, we are looking for methods to guarantee that the top part will not bend with time. It is also worth mentioning that the print will be made out of 3 parts (at least) and glued together, and my wife does not wish to change the visible design (so it can stay true to the original sculpture).

This will be our first macro printing, so any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

3d printed gliutar

First attempt at a 3d printed guitar project! I’m very happy with how it turned out now just need to be able to play the guitar 1,000 times better than I can now to do it justice 😝🤘bambu glow filament is the best ( it looks wild because i hit it with a laser to show the glow effect)
