Space Marine 2 Dev Says Game Can Succeed Without Selling Absurd Number Of Units

4 Octubre 2024 at 13:26

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 released to both critical and commercial acclaim last month, as more than 2 million players at launch helped it become the most-played Warhammer game of all time on Steam alone. Speaking on the game's achievements, Saber Interactive chief creative officer Tim Willits recently explained how the game is expected to be successful without needing to reach lofty sales goals.

"We don't need to sell 4 million units to make it [Space Marine 2] a success," Willits said to IGN. "There are many games, sadly, especially out of North American developers, where if you do not sell 5 million copies you are a failure. I mean, what business are we in where you fail if you sell less than 5 million?"

A breath of fresh air when compared to several other high-profile games that posted disappointing sales results--like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Star Wars Outlaws, and Concord--Saber Interactive chief creative officer Tim Willits attributed the game's success to the studio sticking to the core tenets of its Space Marine 2 plan and avoiding an "over-scope" situation.

11 Years Later, GTA Online Adds A Fan-Requested Location For New Zombie Mode

4 Octubre 2024 at 12:45

For over a decade, Grand Theft Auto Online players have largely had a free hand to explore Los Santos. Not all of the locations from Grand Theft Auto 5 have been readily available, but Rockstar Games has revealed plans to reopen a fan-requested area as part of an upcoming zombie mode.

Rockstar made the announcement in this week's patch notes that North Yankton will be featured in "a Community Challenge to dispatch marching tides of undead in a new limited-time mode." This snowy location was featured in GTA 5's prologue as two of the main characters, Michael and Trevor, ran into some serious problems during their attempt to rob a bank and get away clean. GTA Online players have previously only been able to get back there by using glitches and exploits.

While Rockstar hasn't yet shared the full details about GTA Online's zombie mode, GamesRadar notes that data miners have "found evidence of a wave-based survival mode," which suggests that it will be a horde-style event. However, there's no word about whether the zombie action will be limited to North Yankton or if it will spill out into the larger areas of San Andreas and Los Santos. Additionally, Rockstar has announced a number of Halloween-related items for GTA+ members, including the fearsome-looking HVY Nightshark SUV and demon biker gear.

Civilization 7 PC Specs Have Been Revealed

4 Octubre 2024 at 11:42

PC specs for the upcoming Sid Meier's Civilization 7 have been revealed, so PC gamers can check how their rig is going to hold up ahead of the game's release next February. As expected from a strategy title, the minimum specs are less demanding than your average AAA game, but running the game on ultra settings will require a surprisingly powerful PC.

The game's minimum standards ask for a Nvidia GTX 1050 GPU or better, Intel Core i3-10100 CPU or better, 8GB of RAM, and a 20GB SSD, meaning most PCs should be able to handle Civilization 7 on low graphics settings. Recommended settings, which will play the game on a medium graphics preset, requires a Nvidia RTX 2060 or better, Intel Core i5-10400 or better, 16GB RAM, and a 20GB SSD.

Silent Hill 2 Remake - Bug Room Door Code In Toluca Prison

4 Octubre 2024 at 08:30

Entering Toluca Prison is one of the more unsettling and strange moments of Silent Hill 2, and that disturbing vibe is amplified early on when you find yourself trapped in a room filled with bugs, with a keypad locking the door and barring your exit.

The only way to escape this room is by punching in the right code on the door's keypad, but finding the code can be difficult--especially as the place periodically fills with bugs you'll need to smash if you want to keep them from attacking you. The room represents an excellent moment in Silent Hill 2 that can make you panic as you search for clues to open the keypad, but if you're struggling to get yourself out of that room, like we did, we're here to help.

Here's how you solve the puzzle of the bug-room keypad, including the solution if you don't want to find it yourself. As always, if you do want to find it yourself, now's the time to stop reading.

Silent Hill 2 Remake - How to Unlock The Grand Market Keypad On Neely Street

4 Octubre 2024 at 08:30

Bloober Team's take on Silent Hill 2 is pretty faithful to the original, but it slips in lots of new puzzles and secrets to find as you make your way through James Sunderland's story. One of the first you'll come across is a grocery store, Grand Market on Neely Street, just north of Neely's Bar. Its front door is locked by a keypad that needs a combination. In this guide, we'll show you how to get into the Silent Hill 2 remake grocery store, Grand Market, including what the keypad's unlock code is.

Opening the keypad, which will let you into a grocery store called Grand Market, is optional, and it's easy to miss the information you need to figure out the code. But getting through that door can be very helpful, especially early in the game, because you'll find ammo and health items inside, which can give you a big boost. Here's what you need to know to find the code to the Grand Market keypad, and if you'd rather not figure it out on your own, the code itself. If you want to figure it out on your own, however, stop reading after the image of the semi-truck on Sanders Street.

Exploring the streets of Silent Hill will yield a lot of insights about the game world. You'll find a bunch of information in the form of notes left behind by the town's residents--in fact, those are key to figuring out the puzzles scattered throughout the game. But if you find additional notes left on the streets, in shops, and in cars around town, you'll discover you're not the only person who's been dealing with the horrors of Silent Hill.

Turn east down Sanders Street from Neely's Bar. At the end of the street, check the south side to find a semi-truck.

Watch out for two Lying Figure enemies hanging around the area. Once they're dead, look for a body leaning up against the truck, and for a note in the blood just in front of it.

According to the note, someone else was trying to discover the code for the keypad, but was doing so by brute-forcing the code--typing in numbers in sequential order. They went from 0000 to somewhere in the 4,000s over the course of many hours but at some point had to run from monsters.

Flip the note over and you'll discover that the person went back and tried more numbers before being forced to run away again. To solve the puzzle yourself, you can use the note as a guideline, using the other person's progress to know where to start trying codes yourself.

If you want to skip to the end and just get through the door, the code is 4444.

Once the door is open, you can ransack the market for three health drinks and three boxes of handgun bullets, which will be extremely handy in the early portion of the game.

Silent Hill 2 Remake - Weights Puzzle And Hanging Poems Guide

4 Octubre 2024 at 08:30

Late in Silent Hill 2 Remake, James makes his way into one of the strangest and most intense locations in the game: Toluca Prison. The dark and frightening location in the original game includes the gallows, one of the game's most iconic puzzles, where players are tasked with identifying which of six criminals is innocent based on the descriptions of the crimes.

The gallows puzzle, or what might call the hangman or noose puzzle, makes a return in the remake, but in a different form. Here, you need to piece together the stories of each crime to find the innocent person. The puzzle is mixed together with one pertaining to the scales of justice, which you can only solve by scouring the prison to find weights you can place on the scales.

Finding the weights, placing them correctly, and figuring out the stories of the accused is a daunting task that spans the entirety of the prison level, but we've got all the information you need to help you solve every aspect of it. Of course, if you'd rather figure things out on your own, this guide contains puzzle spoilers for Silent Hill 2 Remake, but if you're having trouble, read on for more.

You'll find the weights and hangman's noose puzzles in the prison yard on the first floor. Ignore the gallows for now and concentrate on the scales, which you can use to open four different doors on the first floor of the prison. You'll need more weights to access them, though.

First, head to the chapel at the opening of the first block of cells and next to the Armory where you start in the prison. On the altar there, grab the Heaviest Weight.

Return to the scales and place the Heaviest Weight on the right side and the small weight on the left side to open the Headless Serpent door.

Make your way through the Death Row section and overload the generator to access the room with the electric chair, where you'll find the Medium Weight, stained red with blood.

Back at the scales, put the Heaviest Weight and the small weight on the left and leave the Medium Weight on the right side to open the Hornless Ox door. Head there to get up to the second floor of the cell blocks and explore until you can make your way into the Showers.

At the back of the Shower room is a hole in the wall that James will have to stick his hand in, but your reward will be the green gunk-covered Heavy Weight. Beware that you're in for a fight: Getting the weight will trigger an alarm that will cause all the previously dormant monsters in this room to attack you. It's possible to just run for it, though.

You can now use the scales to open the Boar door. Place the smallest weight on the left plate and all three of the others on the right.

Through the Boar door, you're headed for the Warden's Office. On the desk in the middle of the room is a typewriter that demonstrates how badly the warden was losing his mind. To solve this puzzle, type in the word SICK--that'll open the drawer in the desk and give you the Light Weight.

The last door you can open at the scales is the Wingless Dove door. Place all the weights except the red one on the left side of the scales; leave the red weight on the right side.

The Wingless Dove door takes you into the prison's basement. Explore until you find some cells filled with spikes. Once you're able to get into one, the Lightest Weight will be waiting for you on the ground at the back.

For the final solution to the scales, you need to balance them so the needle is pointing at the sword icon in the center. The trouble is, the scales are slightly out of balance, meaning that the default setting with both sides empty tips slightly to the right. To get the correct balance, place the Heaviest Weight, the red weight, and the Lightest Weight on the right side, and the green weight, the Medium Weight, and the small weight that was at the scales when you first arrived on the left side. That will put the needle right in the middle, making the statue of Justice move to present you with the Executioner's Lever.

Hangman's Noose Poems at The Gallows

Now you can head to the gallows. Go up the stairs and use the lever, and you'll now be able to read six stories written by the criminals assigned to each of the six nooses. The trick here is to match the top half of each criminal's poetic account with the corresponding bottom half.

Poem I mentions a fire that killed both sisters and children; match it with the plate that reads, "Though the young ones' deaths I mourn, their tormentors are no more. On young souls the nuns did prey. Took their innocence away."

An embezzler is the subject of Poem II, who talks about stealing from the wealthy and having their "reasons." The match also mentions reasons, reading: "What are those reasons, you might ask. The truth allow me to unmask. I see, I crave, I need, I take. 'Tis all the sense it needs to make."

In Poem III, the perpetrator is a kidnapper, and the father of the victim. The plate that goes with it reads, "My only daughter, joy of days, they wanted to take you away. Hush, little baby, and be still, if I can't have you, no one will."

The criminal of Poem IV talks about cutting a rusty chain and sneaking into a building at night: a burglar. Match it with "I departed with great haste, leaving not a single trace. Ever faithful to my creed, all is right which feeds my greed."

Poem V is about a person who murdered their mother, but the second half explains the motive: "You broke my legs, I couldn't walk. You pulled my teeth, I couldn't talk. You fed me pills to slow my mind. I took your life 'fore you took mine."

Poem VI describes waiting to ambush and murder someone, and the matching poem suggests a motive. The match reads, "In truth, I did not hesitate, as my blade sealed the poor man's fate. He knew the rules, they are quite clear, go against me, your end is near."

With all the poems completed, you now have to make a judgment about which of the condemned criminals was actually innocent. The answer, of course, is the person who murdered their mother to stop her abuse, Poem V. Turn around and pull on the noose marked V to complete the puzzle and move on to the next, even trippier portion of Silent Hill 2.

Silent Hill 2 Remake - Coin Puzzle Guide For Wood Side Apartments

4 Octubre 2024 at 08:30

When you first arrive in Wood Side Apartments in Silent Hill 2, you'll find a strange cabinet with spaces to insert several round objects and a poem on top. This cabinet is the remake's version of a similar puzzle from the 2001 original, and you'll spend the next few hours of your time exploring the apartment building in order to solve it. To finally uncover the solution, you first need to hunt through the apartment building and find three strange coins, if you're playing on normal puzzle difficulty.

In addition to searching just about every inch of Wood Side Apartments' three stories for the coins, you'll then have to use them to solve a series of puzzles to unlock the cabinet itself, and that can be a bit confusing. We've run down where to find the coins in Wood Side Apartments so you can be sure you won't miss them, and how to solve the puzzle once you do.

Of course, this guide contains some light spoilers for Silent Hill 2, so if you'd rather go in blind, now's the time to stop reading.

Finding the three coins happens somewhat naturally as you make your way through Wood Side Apartments, opening rooms as you find keys and solving puzzles you discover there. You'll find the first coin in Apartment 206, which you access through Apartment 208.

Use the Golden Apple Handle on the cabinet in 208 to open it and reveal a peephole. Looking through allows you to see a room with a safe in it. Push the cabinet from the side to open a path into the next room, where you can solve the safe puzzle.

Figuring out the safe puzzle requires surveying the room pretty closely, but once you get the apartment 206 safe code, you can get the Man coin from inside.

You might have seen the Woman coin as you were exploring the second floor--it's in the clogged trash chute, but out of reach for James. To unplug it, you first need to get the 2F Small Staircase key to unlock the path up to the third floor.

On the third floor, explore until you find a hole you can crawl through to get into the trash chute room. Grab the Canned Juice and use it on the chute to drop it down and use it to clear the clog. Head back down to the first-floor courtyard near the lobby and grab the Woman coin off the ground.

The last coin is inside the pool, which is also teeming with Lying Figure monsters. If you're quick, you can slip past them to get to the baby carriage in the middle of the pool. Inside is the Snake coin, the last one you need. Return to the cabinet.

Note before you start that you can flip the coins over once you've put them in the slots, and each has a different image on each face. The Man coin also has a Sword face; the Snake also has a Flower face; and the Woman also has a Gravestone face.

In the first poem, you're told the Woman is beneath the tree, the Flower is alone, and the Man walks in the moonlight.

Place the Man coin in the farthest left slot (beneath the moon), the Woman coin in the center slot (beneath the tree), and the Flower in the farthest right slot.

The second poem reads: "The man doth approach, his Blade now revealed, his face disappears behind shining steel. Away from the man the Maiden doth flee, toward the Flower, away from the tree."

Flip the Man coin to the Sword face, move it one slot to the right, and move the Woman coin one slot to the right.

Here's the third poem: "Where once a Flower grew, a venomous glee, where once was a Maiden, a stone doth be. And over her Grave the Man doth remain, his blade never met the vile Serpent's vein."

Don't move the coins, but flip all three of them to reveal the Man, the Gravestone, and the Snake faces.

And the final poem: "The Beast who its teeth in her flesh doth bore, He who has failed, she who is no more. Now unto you falls the grievous chore, who carries the blame for what fate had in store?" The idea here is to pick the correct coin and move it into the upper slot.

The answer is the Snake, so move that coin to the top slot. The cabinet will open, revealing the key for Apartment 201. There are many more puzzles and confusing sections of the game ahead. For more help with Bloober Team's remake, use our Silent Hill 2 Remake guides hub.

Silent Hill 2 Remake - Apartment 206 Safe Code In The Blackout Room

4 Octubre 2024 at 08:30

While the Silent Hill 2 Remake sticks close to the original's story and path through the game, it's filled with puzzles that are similar to what was in the 2001 game, but not quite the same. One of those is the lengthy search for three coins in Wood Side Apartments that are necessary to make your way through to the second apartment building, Blue Creek. Getting the coins requires a ton of exploration and solving a few minor puzzles as well.

In Apartment 208, you can find a peephole into the nearby Apartment 206 and an involved puzzle to nab one of those coins. In the center of this blacked-out room is a safe, and finding the combination isn't exactly obvious. If you're struggling with Silent Hill 2's clues, we've got you covered--this guide will walk you through how to solve the puzzle to unlock the safe, and if you want it, provide the combination, as well. Of course, if you'd rather figure everything out on your own, now's the time to stop reading.

The path into Apartment 206 starts in 208, where you'll find a cabinet in the back of the apartment. On it are two gold hands, one holding an apple, matching a similar cabinet you should have seen in Apartment 108, near where you first entered the building. From that other cabinet, you can get the Golden Apple Handle. Add it to the cabinet in 208 to reveal a hole that lets you see into the next apartment.

You can now push the cabinet out of the way to reveal a hole that lets you slip into Apartment 206. In the center of the room is the safe, but you need its combination. To find it, you'll have to investigate the drawings on the walls around you.

On the wall to the right of the safe is a poem that provides the clues you need. It reads:

"Right where the rooftops pierce through the night. Left are homebound footprints with no owner in sight. But has he found home, oh please pray tell, or a river of memories leading right to his hell."

The clues indicate what you should be looking for on the walls to find the numbers for the safe. You'll need your flashlight on, as the numbers are reflective but can't be seen in the dark. First, look for a drawing of houses, specifically rooftops--you'll find it on the left wall as you face down the hallway beyond the safe, over a triangular tear in the wallpaper that reveals writing underneath.

The second clue mentions "homebound footprints," so you're looking for a drawing of a house with footprints in front. You can find it on the wall behind the safe, next to the iron grate on the wall.

For the final clue, you're searching for a river. If you're facing the font of the safe, do a 180 to face the wall behind you, where a dirty mattress lies on the floor. The river drawing is in the corner to the left, behind the mattress and near the floor.

With the numbers from each clue, you need to check the poem again, which will tell you which direction you should turn the dial on the safe for each number.

Thus, here's the combination for the Apartment 206 safe: right 13, left 7, right 11.

Inside you'll find the Man coin you need for the Coin Cabinet puzzle, as well as the Steel Key that lets you unlock the door to leave Apartment 206 by its front door.

Silent Hill 2 Remake - Trick Or Treat Elevator Quiz Answers

4 Octubre 2024 at 08:30

Brookhaven Hospital in the Silent Hill 2 remake is a weird place, but no part of it is weirder than the unprompted, radio-style quiz show that plays late in the level. As protagonist James Sunderland rides an elevator, he's asked three questions about the history of Silent Hill. If you've been exploring the town thoroughly and paying close attention, you might know enough Silent Hill trivia to get the right answers. Unlike every other puzzle in the game, however, James won't help you with this one by writing down the answers on his map. Instead, you're forced to remember the answers yourself for an unknown amount of time until you can use them on a lockbox later in the level.

The quiz scene also appeared in the original Silent Hill 2, but the questions and answers in the remake are a little bit different than they were in 2001. Luckily for you, we've got the right info--plus the details about where you can use them for a big payday in ammo and health items.

The quiz begins unexpectedly when you get into the elevator after opening the chained puzzle box on the second floor of Brookhaven Hospital and revealing the Lady of the Door mural.

The first of the three questions has to do with a terrible disease that afflicted Silent Hill in its past, resulting in scores of dead being buried in Toluca Lake. If you looked around thoroughly in Rosewater Park, you might have seen a statue honoring the dead. The question asks how many people were dumped in the lake.

The possible answers are: One: 42; Two: 67; Three: 85

The answer is 67. For the purposes of claiming your prize, Q1's answer is 2.

The second question asks you, when following Sanders Street east, which road will take you past the cemetery and lumberyard to reach the edge of town. This is actually the road you took to get to Silent Hill, and you passed those landmarks on your way from James's car.

The possible answers are: One: Bachman Road; Two: Munson Street; Three: Wiltse Road.

The correct answer is Wiltse Road. That means when you get to the locked chest, Q2's answer is 3.

For the last question, you're quizzed on the murder of a brother and sister who were attacked by someone wielding an ax. The boy was Billy Locane, and the question asks you for the name of the second victim, his sister. You can find a newspaper alluding to these crimes near the cleared garbage chute in Wood Side Apartments, and these characters are also mentioned in Silent Hill 4.

The possible answers are: One: Miriam; Two: Heather; Three: Julia.

The answer is Miriam, or 1 on the lockbox for Q3.

The elevator drops you in the basement of Brookhaven Hospital, which you'll need to explore to find your way back up. After you finish your time in the basement, you'll return to the first floor and the lobby. From the elevator, head to the pharmacy and go inside.

You'll find a Decorative Box here, and if you inspect the top of it closely, you'll see three lines of jewels marked Q1, Q2, and Q3, with three jewels each--1, 2, and 3. This box is where you can give your answers to the Trick or Treat questions.

  • Q1: 2
  • Q2: 3
  • Q3: 1

That'll open the box, rewarding you with a bunch of ammo and healing items. Be careful, however--if you give the wrong answer, as the announcer told you in the elevator, you'll be punished and suffer some damage.

Silent Hill 2 Remake - Moth Puzzle Guide For Blue Creek Apartments

4 Octubre 2024 at 08:30

Early in the Silent Hill 2 remake, protagonist James Sunderland makes his way to the Wood Side Apartments, and after searching almost every inch, leaps across a small gap into another building, the Blue Creek Apartments. It's here, in Silent Hill's strange and frightening Otherworld, that James faces even more puzzles blocking his progress. One of those puzzles is in Apartment 202, in a room filled with moths.

To find your way through this room, you need to figure out how the moths relate to a nearby padlock that closes off the way forward. The clue to the solution is the diagram next to the lock, where you'll see math equations using a few different icons: a crescent, a circle inside a diamond, and a skull.

Solving this puzzle requires understanding what the writing on the wall means, and exploring the ins and outs of the bug room. If you're stumped, read on for the Silent Hill 2 remake moth puzzle solution that will help you get out of Apartment 202 and make your way through Blue Creek Apartments and deeper into Silent Hill. Of course, this guide will spoil the puzzle, so if you want to figure it out yourself, stop reading now.

The trick to solving this puzzle is to count the number of each symbol to get the numbers for the equations. The symbols are found on the wings of the moths, but some wings have more symbols than others, and some moths are missing wings.

The number of circles is the easiest to figure out, and the most straightforward. If you walk around the room counting the moths you can see, you'll get 5.

Near the entrance to the room is a hole in the wall you can look through, where you'll see a second death's-head moth, putting the number of skull icons up to two.

The confusing one, however, is the number of crescents. There's actually a hidden moth you can't immediately see, which adds crescents to the total number. To find that moth, look for a spot next to the three moths displayed in the frame, where you can break through a wall into another room.

This is the space you could see through the other hole in the wall. Inside, push the bookshelf away from the death's-head moth and you'll reveal another moth with crescents on its wings. Count the crescents and you'll get a total of 8.

Now you can do the math accurately. The first equation, circles subtracted from crescents, works out to 8-5. The first number, therefore, is 3.

For the second equation, skulls plus circles, gives you 2+5, for a sum of 7.

The final equation is circles minus skulls, or 5-2, which leaves 3.

The combination, from top to bottom, is 3-7-3. That'll get you through the door into the next room, where you can reach into a hole in the wall to find the Second Hand for the clock puzzle.

Lord Of The Rings: Rings Of Power Season 2 Finale: 9 Questions We Need Answered

3 Octubre 2024 at 14:32

Warning: The following contains full spoilers for the Season 2 finale of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. If you haven't watched the entirety of Season 2 yet, you should steer away now.

So much happened in the Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power Season 2 finale that it's hard to know where to begin. The beginning probably makes the most sense. The Season 2 finale kicked off with a major death as Durin IV (Owain Arthur) faced off against his father, Durin III (Peter Mullan). The king managed to chisel his way into a gigantic cavern of Mithril before awakening a giant Balrog. The monster got through to the king in a way that his son had not previously, and King Durin took off the corrupting ring of power and sacrificed himself to the fiery beast to save his people.

Durin's sacrifice allowed his son to finally send dwarf troops to assist Elrond (Robert Aramayo) and Gil-galad (Benjamin Walker) in defending Eregion. Unfortunately, it was too late. Sauron (Charlie Vickers) had already tortured Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards) to death. The dwarf troops allowed Elrond and Gil-galad to lead refugees away from the ruined city, but the orcs turned on Adar (Sam Hazeldine) and joined Sauron. The Dark Sorcerer then faced off against Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and won, taking the nine rings of power Celebrimbor crafted for the humans off of her. Gild-galad and Elrond were able to heal her and create an oasis for the surviving Eregion elves, but Sauron remains at large.

Across Middle-earth, the stranger (Daniel Wyman) decided to stand by his harfoot friends rather than claim his destiny as a great wizard. Wouldn't you know it? That's what he was supposed to do all along. He saved Nori (Markella Kavenagh), Poppy (Megan Richards), and their new fellow halfling friends from the Dark Wizard (Ciarán Hinds). As a reward, he was delivered his staff and we can finally call him by his name: Gandalf. It took far too long to get to this point.

It will be a surprise to no one that the humans are also a mess. Pharazon (Trystan Gravelle) used the mystical ball to stage yet another coup in Númenor, but it looks like this one is going to stick. Eärien (Ema Horvath) finally developed some family loyalty and gave Elendil (Lloyd Owen) a heads up and he was able to escape before Pharazon's troops came to execute him. However, Tar-Míriel (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) stayed behind to face Pharazon on her own and was sentenced to death. Kemen (Leon Wadham) took troops to Middle-earth to set up a human garrison and ran into Isildur (Maxim Baldry). That's how the Middle-earth humans found out Pharazon had taken control and all of Míriel's promises from Season 1 were now void. Theo ) and Estrid (Nia Towle) remained behind to work for Kemen because he refused to allow low-class people aboard the ship to Númenor with Isildur, who decided to return home after Kemen's political update.

Major events happened for all of our main characters in the Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power Season 2 finale, but we still have a lot of questions. Read below for the biggest queries we need answered next season.

1. What happened to the other six Dwarven rings?

Celebrimbor and Sauron made seven rings total for the dwarven lords. Durin has his father's ring, but are the other six with the dwarf lords who are now trying to challenge Durin for the throne? It would be tough to take on six dwarf lords on a good day, but can Durin really take them on if they are also under Sauron's influence by wearing the rings? He just barely was able to get through to his father, and that still ended tragically. It'll be near impossible for him to stand up to six wealth-focused counterparts.

2. Will Durin and Elrond ever get to bro out again?

3. How will Sauron create the final ring without Celebrimbor?

Another thing that's concerning about the dwarf lords making their way to Khazad-dûm to challenge Durin is that his father just uncovered an absolute boat load of Mithril. Yes, there's a Balrog overseeing it, but the last thing Middle-earth needs is Sauron getting his hands on that supply. He currently has the nine rings made for the kings of men, but he doesn't have the elven or dwarf rings. We know he still needs to make "the one to rule them all," but how is he going to do that now that Celebrimbor is dead? We're scared to think that Khazad-dûm trove will give him a head start in making the fateful ring.

4. Where is Galadriel's husband?

We are going to dig a little into the book lore here because this mystery is leftover from Season 1 and is still bothering us. Galadriel explained to Isildur at the end of Season 1 that her husband disappeared in battle. He's presumed dead, but he actually can't be because she still needs to give birth to Elrond's future wife (Yes, that does make Elrond and Galadriel's little lip-lock in the penultimate episode a bit awkward!). So where the hell is Celeborn and how will he ever find the Elf oasis they've created with their rings now? We cannot wait to see the look on his face when Galadriel tells him how she was so nearly taken in by the dark sorcerer himself.

5. Will Isildur and Elendil ever reunite?

Elrond and Durin are not the only people on this show who need a hug. Isildur and Elendil could really do with a father-son reunion right about now. Are they destined to be ships passing in the night as Isildur returns to Númenor and Elendil flees the kingdom? They both wish to take down Pharazon, and it would be helpful to have each other on that quest. Hell, Elendil could use the knowledge that his son is still alive just to give him the will to live again. We know that Nûmenor is fated for deep trouble ahead, but let's give the humans a win before things go to complete crap.

6. What's going to happen if Theo cuts down trees?

The deal is that the men staying behind at the garrison must turn over timber to help build the new barracks in exchange for shelter and protection. That means cutting down the trees the Arondir (Ismael Cruz Córdova) swore wouldn't be harmed in exchange for Theo and the other human prisoners the Ent wives kept captive. Theo is staying in Middle-earth and ostensibly will be going to cut lumber, so what will happen when the men go back on Arondir's word? More specifically, what happens to Theo if he goes back on Arondir's word? We know the Ents become nearly impossible to convince to fight in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and maybe Kemen and his damn orders are to blame.

7. Will karma ever come for Kemen?

This freaking guy. He sucks, okay? There's no way around it. He's a weasel and a disloyal scumbag with a punchable face. Not only did he sell out Elendil for ending a fight that Kemen himself started, but in general, he's a power-hungry suck-up. His dad is now the king of Nûmenor, which makes Kemen feel invincible, but it would be really fun to see someone bring this kid back down to Earth, preferably by kicking him multiple times. He's got to go!

8. Who is the Dark Wizard, and what does he want?

There are theories abundant on the internet about who the Dark Wizard is but the show hasn't given any definitive answers about who he is and how he'll play into the upcoming battle with Sauron and the creation of the One Ring. Does he truly want to team up with Gandalf to defeat Sauron, or does he have plans of his own? Was Gandalf right to predict that the Dark Wizard only wants to defeat Sauron so that he can take his place as the head of Middle-earth? It's not very clear whether this guy is actually evil or just misunderstood by those around him.

9. Will we ever get to meet a Hobbit?

Avatar: The Last Airbender "AAA" Game In Development At Space Marine 2 Studio Saber Interactive

3 Octubre 2024 at 13:53

Paramount Game Studios and Saber Interactive have officially confirmed that a "AAA" game set in the universe of Avatar: The Last Airbender is in development. Currently in production, the game is being produced in collaboration with Avatar Studios, a division launched by the show's original creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko back in 2021 so that the IP could expand through multiple forms of media.

The companies behind this game are calling it (via IGN) "the biggest video game in franchise history," and while details are slim right now, it has been confirmed that it will focus on an "all-new, never-before-seen Avatar" and is set thousands of years in the past of the Avatar Legends universe. Not to be confused with James Cameron's blockbuster movie franchise, Avatar tells the story of a world where humanity has learned to harness the four primal elements of nature.

Known as benders, these are people who can control water, earth, fire, and air through unique martial arts movements, but only one person can wield all four elements in harmony. That individual is the Avatar, a being who is charged with maintaining the balance between people and spirits. Only one Avatar can exist at any time, and upon death, they reincarnate and restart their journey to master the elements. For the game, Paramount and Saber says that players can expect dynamic combat, a vibrant world, and story elements both new and familiar to fans of the Avatar franchise.

Don't Expect A Remake Of The First Metal Gear Solid Anytime Soon

3 Octubre 2024 at 13:12

Remakes and remasters of classic games are nothing new, but definitely becoming more and more common, with games like Final Fantasy 7, Resident Evil 2 and 4, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 hitting consoles all in the past four years. However, even though we'll soon get a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, don't expect one for the first entry anytime soon.

In an interview with Famitsu, and translated by business insider Genki, Metal Gear Solid series producer Noriaki Okamura didn't exactly shut down the possibility of other remakes--similar to the aforementioned Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, but made it abundantly clear there are no plans for another one shortly.

"Before everyone who was involved in the original is gone, we need to create a path to preserve the Metal Gear series for 10 or 50 years into the future," Okamura said. "I think this is something we have to do."

In the episode, The Stranger meets up with Tom Bombadil in his hut, where Bombadil says to him: "A wizard does not find his staff, it finds him, like his name." And that's that. After years of fan theories and speculation that pointed to The Stranger being Gandalf, it's finally confirmed, and it'll be interesting to see where the show goes from here.

Hands-On The First Berserker: Khazan

3 Octubre 2024 at 13:00
It’s hard to separate The First Berserker: Khazan from its clear Sekiro inspiration. The beta saw a necessity to memorize the rhythms of boss and elite enemy attacks as players deflected their blows, all while managing a stamina gauge. There was simply no separating Khazan from Sekiro.
