Circana analyst Mat Piscatella said via his Bluesky account that Assassin's Creed Shadows "has been the best-selling video game in the US for each of its first 3 weeks in market." Piscatella went on to add that among games released in 2025, it is No. 2 to-date behind only Monster Hunter Wilds. Prior to that, the No. 2 seller had been Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Shadows was also the best-selling game on PlayStation Network for March.
According to Ubisoft, Shadows reached 1 million players across all platforms in a single day. The game reached 2 million shortly thereafter, but that doesn't necessarily line up to the number of copies sold. Assassin's Creed Shadows is also available to players who subscribe to Ubisoft+. However, the title's current success on the video game sales charts suggests that players are actively buying it as well.
Funcom has announced that the launch of Dune: Awakening--the upcoming open-world survival game set in the vast deserts of the Dune franchise--has been delayed three weeks, from May 20 to June 10, but a "beta weekend" has been confirmed for next month to soften the blow.
Funcom announced the short delay in a blog post on the game's official Steam page. According to the post, the delay is a result of feedback the team received from players involved in the ongoing closed beta test, which the blog calls "invaluable in making sure [they] can launch a quality game."
Dune: Awakening
"Thanks to this process, weβve concluded that with a bit more time to cook, we can act on a lot more of the feedback we know is important to our beta testers," the blog post says. "This is not a decision we take lightly, we know everyone is very excited to get playing, but these three extra weeks will give us the time needed to make improvements that will lead to a better gameplay experience from day one."
The next batch of Game Pass arrivals has been revealed, joining the first wave of titles that were added to the subscription service earlier this month. April kicked off with a solid selection of new games like South of Midnight, Blue Prince, and Wargroove 2, and for the next wave rounding out the rest of the month and early May, you can grab a few more day-one releases. The headliner here is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, an RPG that features interesting gameplay twists on the genre, incredible visuals, and a star-studded cast of voice actors.
Is this next game Goat Simulator? No, this is Patrick--specifically SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game--which turns Bikini Bottom into a playground for everyone's favorite starfish. Anyone looking to exercise both their need for speed and their trigger-finger will want to check out Neon White, as this afterlife adventure is a speedrunner's delight thanks to its slick design and endearing characters. If you'd prefer Lovecraftian vibes on the high seas, then you can grab Dredge.
Another day-one release this month is Tempopo, a new game from the makers of Unpacking. Set on a series of islands scattered across the sky, players will guide young Hana on a journey to reclaim her musical flowers. Aided by the Tempopo, players can guide these critters by using Hana's conducting skills, directing them to solve each island's puzzle.
In the classic games department, Grand Theft Auto 5 will return to Game Pass this month and it'll be followed by Far Cry 4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2--the 2022 game, not the 2009 one--will also be added to the Game Pass library in case you're looking for some fun weekend-warrior action, and Anno 1800 is a great slice of city-building fun.
You can check the full list below for everything coming to Game Pass, but there will be some departures from the service as well. Six games will be leaving on April 30, including titles like Sniper Elite 5 and Thirsty Suitors.

The Last of Us Season 2 premiere didn't waste any time introducing the new characters from The Last of Us Part II. It also debuted a terrifying new version of the infected that was only briefly seen in the game.
There are spoilers ahead for the premiere of The Last of Us Season 2.
During the episode, Ellie (Bella Ramsey) has a close encounter with a stalker--an infected that can sneak up on its victims. It's smarter than the average infected as well. Co-showrunner Craig Mazin spoke with IGN about the introduction of the stalkers and hinted that they will play a larger role in Season 2.
It's no secret that the Borderlands movie did not perform well, with audiences and critics alike ridiculing everything from the film's casting choices to its dialogue. Even some of its creators disliked the film--writer Craig Mazin was so unhappy with the final cut that he requested his name be removed from the film's credits. Now, director Eli Roth is opening up about what went wrong behind the scenes, citing the COVID-19 pandemic as a major factor in the film's poor reception.
Appearing on a recent episode of The Town podcast, Roth was asked about Borderlands, and initially seemed unwilling to give a detailed answer, saying that if he talked about what happened, "someone's going to look bad, and usually it's just the director."
Roth did detail his first time viewing the final cut of the film, which grossed only $33 million worldwide. From the way he describes it, it seems the director wasn't sure what to expect when he sat down to watch his film.
Are you looking for a source of Still Water in Blue Prince? This particular item is quite hard to find since the game doesn't really tell you anything. Moreover, you'll end up backtracking often that you'll probably do multiple runs just to complete the objective. In any case, before we continue with this guide, we'd like to remind you that there are major spoilers ahead.
Where to find Still Water in Blue Prince - Blank Books and Still Water guide
The Still Water is needed if you want to reveal the hidden contents of blank books. This particular step is actually part of one massive arc. To prepare, you need to do the following:
The cipher from the Coat of Arms Puzzle tells you this phrase: "STILL WATER TINTS BLANK BOOKS."
There's only one item in the game that can hold water, and that's the Watering Can. But we do need to acquire Still Water, too.
Note: Because the next part is quite time-consuming, we advise you to bookmark this guide so you can recheck it periodically.
Watering Can locations and strategy
You need a Watering Can if you want to collect Still Water in Blue Prince. It can be found in various locations, including:
Commissary - Purchased using gold if it appears as an option.
Trading Post - Exchanged using different kinds of items.
Toolshed - Can sometimes be found as one of two items in the Toolshed.
Green rooms - Can sometimes appear in green rooms.
Lost and Found - Since the Watering Can is considered a rare item, it might show up in the Lost and Found as well.
Important: Because it's going to be hard to rely on RNG to find a Watering Can, the best tip we can give you, once you manage to get your hands on one, is to draft the Coat Check. You can store the Watering Can and retrieve it for future runs.
How to collect Still Water using the Watering Can?
While there are numerous bodies of water in Blue Prince, only one actually has Still Water. In fact, Still Water is the term used for "distilled water." It just so happens that there's a distillery in the Trading Post, which randomly appears as an option among the outer rooms.
To access the hidden nook, you need to use the Burning Glass or Self-Ignited Torch to light the dynamite in the Trading Post. The wall will blow up, revealing a distillery.
Note: You can do the above part during a different/earlier run. The destruction of the wall will remain permanent whenever you draft the Trading Post in the future.
In any case, when you're ready, go retrieve the Watering Can from the Coat Check. Then, draft green rooms in the manor so you can empty its contents--i.e. press the button prompt while inside a green room.
Next, head to the Trading Post outside and go to the distillery. You should see a prompt to refill the Watering Can. Congratulations! You now have Still Water in Blue Prince.
Note: If you don't think you have enough steps remaining for the next tasks, you can store the Watering Can--which now contains Still Water--in the Coat Check. The Still Water works even when you retrieve the item on a different day.
Where to use Still Water to tint blank books?
Think of the earlier hint: STILL WATER TINTS BLANK BOOKS. Do you remember a room that has these blank books, or a lot of books in general? Why, yes, it's none other than the Library.
Draft the Library and, with the Watering Can containing Still Water, interact with the two blank books on the ground floor. The books reveal two hidden clues:
A Hidden Hue - This mentions three colors and paths. Don't worry about this for now.
Aurevei/Tended Rose Vine - This is the book that you should focus on, specifically this section: "The waters of the west spring shall reveal more secrets than these mere passages."
Where to find the hidden passage in the west?
The clue itself is actually a dead giveaway since it refers to the west, as well as secrets and passages. In short, you need to draft the Hidden Passage as an outer room. Here's how to do it:
Store the Watering Can--which should contain Still Water--in the meantime since this might take you a few runs/resets.
Draft the Shrine as an outer room and donate 30 gold to gain the Blessing of the Monk. It allows you to draft a manor room as an outer room if you end the day while inside it.
Draft the Secret Passage in the manor. While Blessing of the Monk is active, end the day while inside the Secret Passage.
The next day, draft the Coat Check so you can retrieve the Watering Can.
Go to the West Gate Path and choose the Secret Passage as an outer room.
Since the Watering Can has Still Water, you should see a prompt to interact with the bookcase. Do this so you can pull the blue book that appears.
And that's it: That's everything you need to know about the blank books and Still Water in Blue Prince. Assuming you completed the aforementioned steps regarding the Blue Door, then the way forward should be open. We're not going to spoil what happens next, but you need to be ready for a discombobulating challenge.
A surreal adventure filled with wonders and mysteries await you in Blue Prince. If ever you feel stuck or lost at any point in time in your playthrough, don't forget to check our Blue Prince guides hub.
There were reportedly 5.3 million people in the US who watched the Season 2 premiere of The Last of Us. That same-day viewership tops Season 1's debut night over two years ago, which saw 4.7 million people checking out the HBO series.
According to Deadline, HBO noted that the 5.3 million same-day viewers for The Last of Us Season 2 premiere represents a 10% increase over Season 1. The debut episode of the show--which is based on Naughty Dog's video game franchise--has now been seen by 32 million people. That's apparently the most ever for an HBO and Max series premiere.
In 2023, The Last of Us saw the second-biggest debut on HBO since 2010 when Boardwalk Empire launched. Only House of the Dragon has started off stronger, with almost 10 million viewers watching the Game of Thrones spin-off's premiere on opening night in 2022.
Bungie finally lifted the lid on its extraction shooter Marathon this week, and while the game looks like a vibrant entry in the genre, it has been negatively compared to Sony's live-service flop Concord. Both games share similar elements, being live-service sci-fi shooters with a colorful art direction, but one former Concord developer wants people to not only give Bungie's project a chance when it launches later this year, but to also show some compassion for the people working on it.
"After reading the comments about Marathon being Concord 2.0 on Reddit, YouTube, and Twitch, I just wanted to share a little insight into what a 40-year-old man is feeling after dedicating a large portion of his life to making videogames," former Firewalk Studios senior VFX artist Stephan Williams wrote on the Marathon subreddit (via VG247). "Seeing the faces of the developers on the Bungie stream gave me hope and excitement for what is to come for Marathon," Williams added. "I commend them for taking a chance, trying something foreign to them, that isn't proven, nor guaranteed to succeed. It takes a lot of courage."
Williams explained that while Concord "failed to inspire players," there were lessons to be learned from that "gut-wrenching" failure. Now a senior VFX artist at Warframe studio Digital Extremes, Williams stressed that video games are meant to be fun and that people need to be kinder to the developers working on them behind the scenes.
Former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida has shared his thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2, saying Nintendo is "losing their identity" with the console due to its lack of new and exciting features. Appearing on the Easy Allies podcast, Yoshida said, "I have to be polite," adding, "To me it was a bit [of a] mixed message from Nintendo. In a sense I think Nintendo is losing their identity, in my opinion."
Yoshida, in his decades of experience working in the video game industry, said he observed over the years that Nintendo always stood out by creating some kind of "new experience" that no one saw coming.
"But Switch 2, as we all anticipated, is a better Switch, right? It's a larger screen, more powerful processor, higher resolution, 4K 120fps. They even had their hardware person starting the stream as other platforms do," he said. "And because it's a better Switch, the core premise of the whole Switch 2 is, 'We made things better.' And that's something other companies have been doing all the time."
In the announcement, Ubisoft explained that there are an estimated 300 million people across the globe who are impacted by colorblindness. Chroma's purpose is to simulate the three major colorblindness types: Protanopia, Deuteranopia, and Tritanopia.
Ubisoft also said that its quality-control team in India started developing Chroma in 2021. The team wanted to create a tool that could provide real-time feedback so developers could simultaneously control the game and simulate colorblindness.
Are you hoping to solve the Wine Cellar Coat of Arms Puzzle in Blue Prince? This particular fixture in the manor might not seem much. Indeed, you've probably revisited this area a few times and thought nothing of the ornamental design. However, it actually leads to yet another mystery. Of course, we're going to discuss all the details in our guide. Just watch out because there are a few major spoilers ahead.
How to solve the Wine Cellar Coat of Arms Puzzle in Blue Prince - Numeric Cores guide
The Coat of Arms Puzzle or Numeric Core Puzzle is actually a multi-stage arc. The first thing you need to know is that the Coat of Arms is displayed in certain rooms, such as the Wine Cellar and Master's Bedroom. If you look closely, you'll see this Roman numeral etched on the design: MCCXIII.
Of course, the clues are scattered all over the estate. As usual, we're going to discuss the hints first in case you want to tackle this objective on your own. You can also skip ahead to the solution if you want.
Coat of Arms clues: The Blue Memos
If you want to solve the Wine Cellar Coat of Arms Puzzle in Blue Prince, then you need to find the hints. These are seen on Blue Memos, which only appear if you meet the following conditions:
You must unlock eight trophies so you can purchase the Blue Tents from the Gift Shop.
Once the Blue Tents perk is active, any blue-colored room that you draft in row/rank 8 of the manor will have a hidden Blue Memo.
Some of these messages add a bit of background information, while others pertain to all sorts of riddles.
For this particular arc, you want to check the Blue Memos in the Wine Cellar, Mechanarium, Vault, and Throne of the Blue Prince--i.e. the Throne Room after you've reclaimed the crown.
Coat of Arms clues: The Numeric Core mechanics
Aside from the above, you also need to obtain File Cabinet Keys. The one from the dark tunnel in the Grounds unlocks a drawer in the foreman's nook in the Underground--i.e. the small section that connects the mine cart and the rotating gear. This document tells you about how to figure out the Numeric Cores of numbers.
The Numeric Core operation requires you to apply math processes--i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division--to each number until you come up with a result.
The first number is always positive (i.e. no need to use addition). The remaining numbers can be swapped around. You need to subtract, multiply, or divide them in differing orders.
You won't use the PEDMAS rule for this.
The results cannot be negative numbers, fractions, or decimals. You should always have a whole number in the end.
In any case, if you want to learn about the solutions, you can scroll down to the next sections of our Blue Prince Coat of Arms and Numeric Core Puzzle guide.
What do all these clues mean?
From the hints above, you'll know that the Roman numeral MCCXIII has two important numerical results:
If converted into Arabic numerals, you'll have 1213. If you add all the digits, you'll have 7.
If split up via the Numeric Core system, you'll have M/CC/XI/II:
This means 1,000/200/11/2.
You can do the following: 1,000 Γ· 200 x 11 - 2 = 53.
Because the Blue Memo in the Vault mentions that the "Family Core is the sum of its digits," 5 + 3 will result in 8.
Now, you have two clues: 53 and 8.
The number 53 refers to a Deposit Box in the Vault.
The number 8 refers to Key 8, which comes from the Gallery.
Long story short: You need to use Key 8 to unlock Deposit Box #53 in the Vault.
Note: Both the Gallery and the Vault are rare drafting options in the manor. If you can't get both of them to appear when drawing rooms, you can prioritize the Gallery to obtain Key 8. Then store it in the Coat Check so you can retrieve it in a later run when you're able to draft the Vault.
The Vault cipher: Words and their Numeric Cores
If you manage to unlock Vault Deposit Box #53 using Key 8, then you need to be ready to do a bit of math. The cipher lists several words in this sequence:
Row 1: PIGS - SAND - MAIL - DATE - HEAD
Row 2: CLAM - PEAK - HEAT - JOYA - WELL
Row 3: TOAD - CARD - WILL - TAPE - LEGS
Row 4: TREE - ROAD - MAID - SLAB - ROCK
Row 5: HAND - VASE - SAFE - CLAY - TOES
Each letter in each word pertains to its numbering in the alphabet--i.e. A = 1, B = 2, C = 3, and so on. Of course, you have to manually compute their Numeric Cores to come up with a single letter. Let's use PIGS as an example:
PIGS = 16, 9, 7, 19
16 - 7 x 19 Γ· 9 = 18
18 = S
This part might take you a while, but we do have the complete solution below. Feel free to solve this part on your own or skip ahead to the next section.
The Vault cipher solution
All right, here's the solution for the Numeric Core Puzzle in Blue Prince. It's a bit of a doozy:
PIGS:
16, 9, 7, 19
16 β 7 x 19 Γ· 9 = 18 = S

VASE:
22, 1, 19, 5
22 β 19 x 5 Γ· 1 = 15 = O
SAFE:
19, 1, 6, 5
19 -1 Γ· 6 x 5 = 15 = O
CLAY:
3, 12, 1, 25
3 x 12 β 25 Γ· 1 = 11 = K
TOES:
20, 15, 5, 19
20 β 15 Γ· 5 x 19 = 19 = S
That does it for our guide on how to solve the Coat of Arms Numeric Core Puzzle in Blue Prince. With all of the above completed, you'll end up with this phrase: STILL WATER TINTS BLANK BOOKS.
There's only one item in the game that holds water and it's the Watering Can. But, of course, you should collect Still Water, too. For that task, you can head over to our Still Water location guide.
A surreal adventure filled with wonders and mysteries await you in Blue Prince. If ever you feel stuck or lost at any point in time in your playthrough, don't forget to check our Blue Prince guides hub.
Are you also looking for the second Tomb secret in Blue Prince? If you've been playing for a while now, then chances are you've discovered a bunch of stuff in this creepy location. However, you'll soon learn that it hides yet another mystery. Our guide has all the details, but do take note that there are a few spoilers.
Where to find the second Tomb secret in Blue Prince - Tomb secrets guide
To find the second Tomb secret in the game, you must pull the statues in the crypt in a specific order. To clarify, this is actually different from the sequence that comes from the Chapel--i.e. the one that leads to the Underground. Indeed, the clues actually come from areas that you probably won't reach until several hours into the campaign.
Tomb secret: The main clue
If you want to discover the second Tomb secret in Blue Prince on your own, then you have a time-consuming task ahead of you. Here's what it entails:
Once you're aware of the hints from the puzzles, as well as those from other locations, you can solve the Eight Realms in Eight Months Puzzle in Room 46.
After completing Eight Realms in Eight Months, the safe will be unlocked, and you'll be able to read the last will and testament of your great uncle. One of the pages mentions that he wants to donate the goddess statues to Eraja. The names of the deities are written down, implying that you should interact with their statues in the Tomb in the following order: Orinda, Lydia, Rynna, Joya, Dauja, Veia, Mila, and Draxus.
How to learn the names of the deity statues in the Tomb?
There's just one problem: You don't know the names of all the deities with statues in the Tomb. Thankfully, a few clues have been scattered around in various parts of the estate:
Orinda: The statue in the Cloister.
Rynna: The note in the Apple Orchard has a drawing.
Mila: There's a statuette in the Maid's Quarter.
Joya, Veia, and Rynna (again): If you found an Upgrade Disk, it can randomly pick the Cloister. It should show illustrations of the deities.
Draxus the Dead: This is the name of a constellation associated with the Angel of Death.
The clues above are enough to solve the second Tomb secret in Blue Prince. You now know the names and depictions of Orinda, Rynna, Mila, Joya, Veia, and Draxus. All that's left is to guess between Lydia and Dauja.
Tomb secret: Part 1
The above image shows you the right-hand side of the Tomb, along with the correct sequence for this puzzle:
1: Orinda - Crown and scepter.
2: Lydia - Small hat and riding crop.
7: Mila - Bonnet and broom.
Tomb secret: Part 2
The above image shows the left-hand side of the Tomb, as well as the back area:
3: Rynna - Bowler hat and plough.
4: Joya - Chef's hat and pan. Note that the statue isn't visible in the image, but she's in the same general area at the back as Rynna.
5: Dauja - Straw hat and rake.
6: Veia - Top hat and feather duster.
Tomb secret reward
Last but not least, don't forget to head further down so you can interact with the statue of Draxus the Dead. After tugging the arm of the eighth statue, a hidden nook will be revealed just behind the Angel of Death.
Discovering the second Tomb secret in Blue Prince doesn't provide any material rewards or permanent bonuses. However, the small nook itself contains the draft versions of two books: Red Prince and A New Clue. Both of these provide a lot of hints related to other late-game puzzles. Don't forget to jot down notes or take screenshots, so you can peruse these clues whenever you want.
A surreal adventure filled with wonders and mysteries await you in Blue Prince. If ever you feel stuck or lost at any point in time in your playthrough, don't forget to check our Blue Prince guides hub.
Are you hoping to unlock the Blue Tents in Blue Prince? These are permanent upgrades to the estate and, while they won't provide you with noticeable buffs, they do lead to a rather surprising addition to certain rooms. Our guide has all the information that you need to help you get started, but keep in mind there there will be minor spoilers ahead.
How to unlock Blue Tents in Blue Prince - Trophies and Blue Memos guide
The Blue Tents upgrade comes from the Gift Shop, which is a room that you can draft in the manor. It costs a whopping 400 gold to purchase. Likewise, you also need to meet a strict requirement: You can only buy the Blue Tents upgrade once you've obtained at least eight trophies.
Our guide takes a look at all the trophies in the game, as well as the easiest ones that you could focus on. Later, we discuss what sort of perk you'll receive once you have Blue Tents in the estate.
The Blue Prince trophy list
Upon reaching Room 46 for the first time, Simon will successfully inherit his great uncle's estate. You'll notice several new additions, such as more rooms, secrets, and even tasks.
One particular document--the Trophies of Mount Holly--even has a checklist of all the available achievements that you can acquire down the line. This document can be found on a desk at the left-hand side of the Entrance Hall, and on the wall in the Trophy Room.
The Inheritance Trophy is automatically unlocked after clearing Room 46 for the first time. That means you only need seven trophies for the Blue Prince Blue Tents upgrade:
As a general rule, you want to avoid the Dare Bird Trophy, Cursed Trophy, Day One Trophy, and Trophy of Speed. Those are all challenge runs that you can tackle using a different save file. They're also very difficult, as though you need all the stars to align just to succeed.
The Trophy of Trophies also becomes available once you have every other trophy, so you can scratch that off the list.
That leaves us with nine other options.
Bullseye Trophy and A Logical Trophy
The Bullseye Trophy and A Logical Trophy are awarded upon completing 40 Darts Puzzles and 40 Parlor Puzzles, respectively. These puzzles get progressively tougher the more you complete them, leading to all sorts of complex mathematical equations or ridiculously cryptic logical dilemmas.
That said, you can grab Upgrade Disks that add new effects/perks:
One upgrade for the Darts Puzzle reverts all operations to simple addition.
An upgrade for the Parlor Puzzle grants another Wind-up Key. You can pick a second box in case you made a mistake with your first guess.
Trophy 8
This is actually one of the easiest trophies to acquire if you want the Blue Prince Blue Tents upgrade. You just need to do the following:
You don't need to do the above in a single day in-game. If you drafted a Coat Check, you can store the Key 8 inside, and then retrieve it later when you're sure that you can spawn Room 8 in a run.
Trophy of Invention
You'll get this Blue Prince trophy soon enough while progressing through the campaign. You just need to craft all eight Workshop contraptions. You can learn about the items that you need in our Workshop crafting guide.
Full House Trophy and Explorer's Trophy
The Full House Trophy is something that you can obtain if you manage a perfect run. All you have to do is ensure that you can draft a room in every open slot in the manor--i.e. all 45 slots must have a room. This means using connectors and a few rerolling methods to have a "full house."
The Explorer's Trophy, meanwhile, requires you to advance through multiple days, all while drafting every single applicable room in the mansion. Basically, you must have access to every room in the Room Directory in your menu. Here are a few tips:
Place down the Drafting Studio as often as possible. It allows you to add rooms like the Kennel, Clock Tower, Dovecote, and more to your drafting pool.
Draft every randomized option that appears in the outer shed, which you unlock via the Garage Door/West Gate Path.
Discover all eight Found Floorplans hidden in other parts of the estate.
You must draft and enter each room in the directory. Once you've done this for all areas, the trophy should appear in the last room that you drafted to complete the tally.
Trophy of Drafting
There's another trophy that you can grab for the Blue Tents upgrade in Blue Prince. It's called the Trophy of Drafting, and it requires you to plop down 20 or more dead ends in a single run. Here are some tips:
Try to create connectors/open paths first via hallways and rooms with several openings. Later, you can place down dead end rooms if you think you can have 20 or more by the end of it.
Dead end rooms are those without doors or paths, except for the entrance where you came in--i.e. Walk-in Closet, Furnace, Freezer, Lavatory, Bunk Room, Guest Room, Utility Closet, etc.
Certain rooms also count as dead ends for the purpose of this tally:
Chamber of Mirrors
Secret Passage
Any outer room that you draft in the West Gate Path.
The Chamber of Mirrors lets duplicates of previously drafted rooms appear in the drawing pool again.
You can check the telescope in the Observatory. Depending on the number of stars, you might get the Draxus the Dead constellation. It causes dead ends to appear more often in your drafting pool.
Note: Your trophy reward will appear in the Mail Room after a couple of days pass in-game. It also includes prize money worth 200 gold.
Trophy of Wealth
This requires you to buy all four of the items being sold in the Showcase room. Note that the available items tend to change per run, too. Ideally, you should amass enough gold through the following means:
Increase your gold allowance via Allowance Tokens and Laboratory house features experiments.
Draft the Vault (+40 gold) and the Treasure Trove (accumulates +5 gold whenever you draft it).
Pick the Tomb as an outer room and draft several dead ends. The Tomb will have +5 gold for each dead end, so you can just return there a bit later in your run.
If you received the Trophy of Drafting mentioned above, you can use the 200 gold prize to buy items from the Showcase during the same run.
You can "freeze your assets" via the Freezer. When you end the day, you'll retain the amount of gold and gems that you had during your previous attempt.
Diploma Trophy
This particular trophy in Blue Prince is harder to get due to the requirements:
You need to unlock the Classroom via the Drafting Studio.
You must draft the Schoolhouse as an outer room. This lets you draft up to eight additional Classrooms inside the manor.
In one run, you have to place nine classrooms--i.e. one unlocked via the Drafting Studio and the eight additional options from the Schoolhouse.
You don't need to plop them down consecutively, but you must have all nine near the end.
Each Classroom is akin to a grade/level, and the ninth Classroom has a final exam.
If you get a high score in the test, the trophy will be waiting for you at the Entrance Hall the next day.
Trophy of Sigils
One of the most time-consuming Blue Prince trophies concerns the sigils in the estate. Here's a quick summary:
You must find all Sanctum Keys, which are scattered in various locations.
You then have to rotate the dials in the Inner Sanctum to solve Sigil Puzzles.
After solving all eight of these, the Trophy of Sigils will appear in the Inner Sanctum the next day.
Let's say you've already obtained eight trophies. That means you can finally purchase the Blue Tents in the Gift Shop for 400 gold. The Blue Prince Blue Tents upgrade has a unique perk: Any blue room that you draft in the eighth rank contains a hidden Blue Memo.
Here's what you need to know:
Check the Room Directory and look for rooms with the blue color. They're also classified as "blueprints."
In each run, you must reach row/rank 8 of the manor--i.e. one row below the Antechamber. Any blue room you draft in that row will have a new Blue Memo that you can read.
These memos are somewhat hard to find, so keep your eyes peeled.
Some memos talk about the solutions to various riddles, while others provide background lore information.
A select few are actually quite important, since they offer hints to late-game puzzles.
Some rooms that are of a different color by default might turn into blue rooms later on through your own actions, which means you can find Blue Memos within.

Are you trying to discover what File Cabinet Keys unlock in Blue Prince? You might stumble upon these items while exploring the manor, though there are very few hints to go by. Our guide has the information that you need, but be forewarned of minor spoilers ahead.
Where to find and use File Cabinet Keys in Blue Prince - File Cabinets guide
So far, we've found three File Cabinet Keys in our playthrough. They tend to unlock various containers all over the estate. As usual, our guide discusses clues and hints first, before we mention the exact locations and the expected rewards.
File Cabinet Keys #1 and 2: Clues in the Aquarium
Clues regarding two File Cabinet Keys in Blue Prince can be found in the Aquarium. However, you can only see them once you've fully drained the water using the Pump Room. Note that you might need to activate the Boiler Room as well just to make use of the reserve tank.
In any case, the aquariums show dioramas of rooms in the mansion. Two of these have floors marked with an "X" symbol.
File Cabinet Keys #1 and 2: Locations
The rooms that you need to visit are the Patio and the Laundry Room. Oh, and you also need to bring a Shovel with you. You have to face the correct spot on the ground just to see the dig icon for your Shovel:
Patio - In front of the left-hand side of the barbecue grill.
Laundry Room - There are three washing machines to the right. The correct spot is in front of the middle one.
File Cabinet Keys #1 and 2: Which drawers do they unlock?
Now that you've dug up these items, it's time to figure out where to use the File Cabinet Keys in Blue Prince:
Then, once you've completed the Laboratory Puzzle, you can collect all three Microchips. If you place them in the Sundial, you'll be able to download a data packet that has new laboratory experiments.
After removing a dozen crates or so, you should see a wooden box that has been left behind. Go ahead and pick up the third File Cabinet Key from the box.
File Cabinet #3: Which drawer does it unlock?
This particular key opens a drawer in the Underground. To be more specific, it's in the foreman's well-hidden office near the Rotating Gear Puzzle. It's the one that connects the Rotating Gear and the tunnel with the mine cart. Similar to the others, it also contains a document for yet another riddle.
That does it for our guide on where to find and use File Cabinet Keys in Blue Prince. We'll keep you posted if we discover others, so stay tuned.

Are you curious about how to open the Blue Door in Blue Prince? This one particular fixture does seem strange, as there's nothing that tells you how to access it. Fortunately, our guide has all the details, but please be reminded that what you're about to read contains major spoilers.
How to open the Blue Door in Blue Prince
The Blue Door is located at the end of the tunnel in the Grounds. Basically, if you head outside the manor and go down the steps, you'll find a dark tunnel filled with boxes and containers. You must use lab experiments to get rid of the crates. Once you're done with that part, you have to go through a passageway with all sorts of obstacles.
Note: The next section requires you to bring different kinds of items or find certain workarounds. Some of the changes you make are permanent, while others require you to revisit a few locations.
How to reach the Blue Door at the end of the tunnel
To reach the Blue Door in Blue Prince, you need to clear a path from the tunnel well after you've removed all the crates:
Obstacle #1 - You have to reach the Antechamber to get the Basement Key. Once you've opened the door here, it will remain permanently unlocked.
Obstacle #2 - Bring a Power Hammer so you can destroy the breakable wall. This section of the wall will remain destroyed permanently.
Obstacle #3 - The door can only be opened via a red fusebox. This requires powering up the Red Doors via the Boiler Room. You have to do this part--i.e. draft the Boiler Room again--whenever you want to pass through this section.
Obstacle #4 - The fake wall will only part if you can light the candles. This passage remains open permanently.
Obstacle #5 - You have to bring all three Microchips and place them in the pedestal. Each day/run causes the Microchips to return to Blackbridge Grotto, so don't forget to bring them here.
Once the whole pathway is open, you'll come face to face with an ornate Blue Door with a holly symbol. Now comes the hard part: Finding a way to unseal it permanently.
The Throne of the Blue Prince
To open the Blue Door in Blue Prince, you must reclaim the Throne Room. This particular guide has every single detail and step that you need for this task. Here's a quick summary:
You need to have the Crown of the Blueprints, Royal Scepter (blue), and Cursed Effigy all in a single day/run.
You have to draft the Throne Room and then enter it with all three items in your inventory.
Doing the above leads to a cutscene. You'll also receive an "ascended blueprint" which turns the area into the Throne of the Blue Prince. Oh, and this location doesn't just have a new design. It also has a unique perk related to the Blue Door in the tunnel: The Throne of the Blue Prince's perk unseals all Blue Doors permanently after you've drafted eight consecutive blue rooms.
How to draft eight blue rooms consecutively
So, with the above in mind, how exactly do we ensure that we can draft eight consecutive blue rooms? Well, here are a few tips:
Ideally, you should've plopped down rooms with connectors beforehand--i.e. Hallway, Cloister, Chapel, and the like. Having rooms with different colors before you start focusing on this task is totally fine.
You must draft the Throne of the Blue Prince--i.e. ascended Throne Room--in the manor. This causes a tally to appear in the upper section of your screen. From there, you want to place eight blue-colored rooms in various openings/pathways.
There are two buffs that help increase the chances that blue rooms will appear as drafting options:
After placing down the Throne of the Blue Prince and drafting eight consecutive blue rooms, a notification telling you that the seal has been unlocked will appear on your screen.
What's behind the Blue Door?
Congratulations! You've just opened the Blue Door in Blue Prince. Of course, you still need to go back to the area. Don't forget that some of the changes past the tunnel are not permanent:
You still need to activate the Red Door fusebox in the Boiler Room.
You still need to retrieve the three Microchips from Blackbridge Grotto.
Finally, when you reach the Blue Door, it should open to reveal a small room with three chests akin to the Parlor Puzzle. There are three boxes here:
Blue: "You have reached the end of your journey."
Black: "There is no end to this journey."
White: "There are two true boxes in this room."
Which box should you open?
There's only one Wind-up Key by default. However, if you obtained the Parlor Room upgrade to have additional Wind-up Keys, then you can have three or more. That said, here's what we got:
Blue box: Has a book that you can read.
White box: Empty
Black box: Triggers a cutscene.
In any case, that does it for our guide on how to open the Blue Door in Blue Prince. It's also worth noting that the blue and white boxes have metallic and interiors. However, the black box has a wooden interior, and there seems to be a "spiral" formed by the wooden etching. That's another mysterious thread to unravel, and we won't discuss it here.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3's first Limited Edition Steelbook features the Blue Blur doing what he does best. This edition comes with 4K Blu-ray, standard 1080p Blu-ray, and digital versions of Sonic 3. You also get a bunch of bonus featurettes.
Preorders for the Sonic variant of the Limited Edition Steelbook are available at Amazon and Walmart for $35.69 (was $45). This is the first preorder discount for Sonic 3.
Amazon and Walmart both offer preorder price guarantees. You won't be charged until your order ships, and you will only pay the lowest price offered between the time you preorder and release.
Sonic 3's Limited Edition Steelbook featuring Shadow is exclusive to Amazon and available to preorder for $45. Unsurprisingly, this edition has been harder to find in stock than the Sonic variant. Amazon sold out of its first batch of preorders fast when preorders opened in January. The Shadow Steelbook was unavailable for nearly all of February and March, but it's back in stock as of April 14.
The Shadow variant complements the Sonic edition by offering the same art design, just with red streaks instead of blue.
Like the Sonic variant, the Shadow version costs $45 and comes with 4K Blu-ray, standard 1080p Blu-ray, and digital versions of Sonic 3. You'll also get the same bonus features. The only difference between the two releases is the steelbook.
If you don't have any interest in steelbook cases, the 4K release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is up for preorder for $36 at Amazon and Walmart. Amazon preorders for the standard 4K edition should reopen soon.
Preorders for the DVD release are available for $21 at Amazon. Sonic 3 won't receive a standalone 1080p Blu-ray edition, at least not at launch. As such, even if you don't have a 4K media player, you'll still need to get the 4K edition to watch Sonic 3 on standard Blu-ray.
Alternatively, you can rent or buy Sonic 3 from Prime Video or stream it on Paramount+.
Even after a reveal showcase over the weekend, there was confusion about one crucial aspect regarding Marathon: the game's price point. Developer Bungie has clarified that the extraction shooter won't be "a full-priced title." However, the entry cost still hasn't been detailed, with that info apparently arriving in the summer.
Originally, GameSpot's Marathon preview noted that the game would be full priced since Bungie has referred to the shooter as "a premium title." On X, Wario64 shared those details before the official Marathon account stepped in to spell out the current pricing situation for Marathon. Yes, it's described as a premium experience, but it won't carry a premium price tag (think $70). What the entry cost will ultimately be for the game will have to wait for a few months, though.
Marathon will be a premium title. Marathon will not be a βfull-pricedβ title. Weβll announce details this Summer. https://t.co/mbK1vfFLKo
Last September, it was reported that Marathon would cost $40. There were no plans to transition to a free-to-play model at the time, and apparently the shooter was too far along in development to even make that change. Previously, Sony (which now owns Bungie) has released similar live-service games at the $40 price point: Helldivers 2 and Concord. Obviously, the results from those couldn't be more different, but there is clear precedent for that entry fee.
Boss fights in Death Stranding were relatively easy, and for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, players will be able to skip them entirely. In a new interview, game director Hideo Kojima spoke about a new feature in the game that will allow players to remove boss fights from the game if they get too tough and read about them instead.
According to a translation by Genki_JPN on X (via Dexerto), Kojima explained on the Koji10 radio show that "there will be an extra option on the game over screen below the 'continue' option," that players can select to skip past these sections and read about the showdown instead.
As mentioned above, boss fights in Death Stranding weren't too challenging if you had the right loadout. Protagonist Sam Porter Bridges amassed an impressive arsenal of weapons to use against the BT entities--which weaponized his blood and other bodily fluids to harm them--and near the end of the game, you would gain access to a rocket launcher that could be used to take down kaiju-sized BTs.
Sony has announced that it has raised prices for the Digital and Standard editions of the PS5 console in select regions, but not the US. However, Sony has also decreased the price of the PS5 disc drive attachment. The price changes are now in effect. In a statement, Sony said it was a "tough decision" to raise prices, and it's not the first time--Sony first raised prices in 2022.
"With a backdrop of a challenging economic environment, including high inflation and fluctuating exchange rates, SIE has made the tough decision to raise the recommended retail price of the PlayStation 5 console in select markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Australia and New Zealand," Sony said in a statement.
