Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 studio Sandfall Interactive has shared some light details surrounding how its imminent RPG will perform on PS5 systems, including the PS5 Pro.

On the base PS5, there'll be Performance and Quality Modes that allow you to prioritise either the framerate or visuals. If you've got a PS5 Pro, then you can "also look forward to enhanced performance". The developer hasn't shared any extra details about what sort of resolutions or framerates the two modes will run at, however.

Tekken it lower.

We don't envy the Tekken 8 development team right now. The popular fighting game just got its big Season 2 update, but to say that it's gone down poorly amongst players would be just about the greatest understatement of 2025 so far.

The backlash has been immense, and it's only grown worse over the last day or so. Tekken 8 is currently being bombarded with negative reviews on Steam, for example, where the game has now crashed to an 'Overwhelmingly Negative' rating. Online communities like the Tekken Reddit are basically up in flames at this point.

What was the public thinking?

The Cambridge Dictionary's definition of the word "influential" is to have "a lot of influence on someone or something"; a suggestion that to be influential, you need to be at least a couple of years old and have clearly inspired something — not just be a really good game.

Voters who took part in BAFTAs' "The Most Influential Video Games of All Time" list did not understand that, though, as the 21-game countdown includes some incredibly questionable titles and debatable positions for the industry's best.

Capcom has dropped the patch notes for Title Update 1, the first major patch coming to Monster Hunter Wilds.

The update itself will be available to download on the 4th April (tomorrow at the time of writing), breathing a lot of new life into the action RPG roughly one month after its initial release on PS5.

Gacha game Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Familia Myth Battle Chronicle will end service on PS5 and PS4 from 29th September.

It’s worth noting that the PC and mobile versions will remain in operation, so this news only affects the PlayStation release. Presumably, there wasn’t much uptake for this auto-battler to justify its ongoing support.

Everyone expected it to be Rockstar and GTA 6 to drive up the prices of games yet again, but in an unexpected twist, it’s Nintendo that’s taken the plunge.

Hades 2, the roguelike sequel already available in Early Access on PC, will launch first as a console exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2 and original Switch.

Same teaser trailer at Switch 2 Direct.

More than four years since its original announcement, the James Bond game from Hitman team IO Interactive made an unexpected appearance today during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. All that was shown was a bullet being loaded into a gun chamber and the trademark Bond introduction, with a Switch 2 version confirmed.

In fact, the teaser trailer is actually the exact same as the one shown in 2020. That's when the game was announced for PS5, and based on the lack of new footage today, it seems the project is still years away from release.

Arriving in 2025.

Elden Ring will be ported to Nintendo Switch 2 in the form of a Tarnished Edition, but the additional content that version brings will also make its way to PS5 and PS4.

The Tarnished Edition bundles together the base game along with last year's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Then, it throws "new armor, weapons and customization features for Torrent’s appearance" on top. That additional content will come to existing platforms, presumably at the same time.
