Teruyuki Toriyama, formerly of PlayStation's Japan Studio, has announced the opening of Sirius Studio — a new Tokyo-based development outfit that'll focus on "high-end console and VR" games.

Toriyama's track record is what makes this move interesting. Before leaving Japan Studio in 2020, he was producer on FromSoftware classic Bloodborne, the PS5 remake of Demon's Souls, and PS Vita action RPG Soul Sacrifice. He also produced Astro Bot Rescue Mission, which is perhaps where the acknowledgement of VR projects comes from.

Logo on shirts for match this Sunday.

The high-flying Spanish football team Athletic Club will change its sponsor for one game this Sunday to that of The Last of Us, with the TV adaptation appearing across the front of the players' shirts. The Max branding will also feature on the sleeves for Athletic Club's league match against Rayo Vallecano on 13th April, the day before season two premieres.

The branding has also been displayed around the team's stadium, San Mames, and will be there until 15th April. Here is winger Nico Williams, striker Gorka Guruzeta, and goalkeeper Unai Simón modelling the shirt:

HoYoverse is releasing a gorgeous commemorative Honkai: Star Rail art book ahead of the game’s second anniversary, and players in mainland China can actually obtain it for free.

The price of a PS Plus subscription across all tiers will be increasing on 16th April 2025 in 15 Latin American countries, Sony has today announced. The countries affected are as follows:

• Mexico
• Nicaragua
• Panama
• Paraguay
• Peru
• Uruguay

Sony explained the increases are a result of "global market conditions". By increasing the prices, it says it can "continue offering high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription".

Logiart Grimoire coming soon.

Jupiter Corporation, the developer of Nintendo's popular Picross series, is bringing its latest title to multiple platforms for the very first time, including PS4.

Historically exclusive to Nintendo hardware, the studio's new game is Logiart Grimoire, a game featuring nonogram logic puzzles styled virtually identically to the Picross series. In fact, the Switch version of the game is named Picross: Logiart Grimoire.

TV streaming service HBO has confirmed it's renewed its adaptation of The Last of Us for a third season, as the second is about to debut this Sunday, 13th April 2025. The announcement was shared on Twitter with a little animation:

Season two of The Last of Us, which looks to adapt at least some of The Last of Us 2, airs this Sunday on HBO and Sky in the UK. New episodes will debut on a weekly basis, with seven episodes in total making up the second season. This means the conclusion will come on 25th May.
