Marvel's Blade is one of Xbox's most promising projects — a take on the iconic comic book franchise by Dishonored, PREY, and Deathloop developer Arkane Studios. However, it sounds like the game could still be a long way from actually releasing.

According to the company's latest financial report (as picked up by Timur222), Arkane's current AAA project — which is almost certainly Marvel's Blade — only entered full production in late 2024.

Year-on-year, PS5 was the only console to see growth in May, as the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S saw spending decline quite dramatically.

There is context for this, of course — especially on the Nintendo side of things. The imminent arrival of the Switch 2 meant that general interest in its predecessor was at an all-time low, so a steep 44% drop makes sense.
