The scale bar is 200 micrometers. 1 micrometer is a millionth of a meter. Imagws are taken with a scanning electron microscope. The benchy is printed on a Nanoscribe two-photon polymerization printer which doesn't face the same constraints as SLA or FDM printers. For instance, it has no probem printing most overhanging elements.

Beyond fun prints, two-photon polymerization is finding it's way into many other precision applications, and provides design freedoms that are not possible with many other additive manufacturing techniques.

I post quite a bit about two-photon polymerization, and I've got some really cool projects to share in the future that will push the edge of 3D printing.

What is this rotating mechanism called? Video provided. It keeps the fan in place but allows rotation. Would like to recreate for 3D print project!

These are a pair of gauntlets that I designed for my Mandalorian cosplay. It took forever to get the clasp on the side correct. The hinges for the clasp are weed eater line while the ones for the gauntlets themselves is just filament. I’m also adding some assassins creed style hidden blades to the undersides of them. I will post pictures of the final gauntlets once painted because I need to paint them before final assembly.

Hey guys, so I bought this printer for $35 and i had to make the build platform as well as i can’t justifiably spend more than $35 fixing it in good faith.

My question is, how do I help this?
