![]() | Recently tried my hand at printing props and needed a power tool to reduce hand sanding to a minimum. I briefly considered a Dremel, but then opted to design my own powered by an RC motor + gearbox originally intended for a crawler, just for the challenge of it. It can serve either as a classic rotary sander with an ER-like collet for holding bits or as an alternating linear sander with sanding bits clamped on it's tool rod. The toolheads can be swapped by means of four M3 screws in less than a couple of minutes. Additionally, the powerplant is cooled by a self contained 12V 3010 axial fan to avoid cooking the electronics or melting the plastic housing. [link] [comments] |
![]() | My kids are obsessed with playing uno lately and their little hands are not great at holding cards, especially when I keep sending +4s their way. 😏 There were several card holding model, but this one says, “Uno” so we had to print it. [link] [comments] |

![]() | The stock cap never really stayed on properly and even partly broke, so I made this to be used like any other cap, just rectangular instead of circular. [link] [comments] |
Our indoor only cats like to go hang out in the garage. The garage has a small barn section with a couple of horse stalls that we're currently using for stuff storage, so there's lots of places for the cats to hide out there. Which makes it hard to know if any cats are around when it comes time to open up one of the overhead doors.
Time to make a cat counter for the garage door so we always know the current cat status.
Designed in Fusion 360, printed on a Bambu P1S.

![]() | I made these holders to store my canisters of tea bags. I calculated the space efficiency of these vs storing them in a slide out box and I can actually fit 2 or 3 more cans by doing it this way. Also it's fun and cool 😎. [link] [comments] |

![]() | I've been restoring an 88 full size bronco and it's a very common issue to have sloppy steering due to worn components in the column. The tilt columns in obs ford trucks is an extremely complex system of concentric shafts, tubes, and levers. There is a shift tube that floats between the column and steering shaft that I designed a bearing cup to support the steering shaft within the shifter tube and a bushing to seal and support the shifter in the column. I'm very pleased with the results and the tight feel it gives while sealing up the column from water and moisture ingress. To all those worried about modding my truck with 3d printed parts you can rest assured this is an improvement on the factory design and no way alters function. I printed with 95a tpu 5layer thick walls with 30percent triangle infill. [link] [comments] |
