Bottle Holder

Bottle Holder

Shamelessly borrowed inspiration from another post on here, I decided to organise our drinks bottle cabinet in an effort to learn more of OpenSCAD.

Before you say anything, I know I could have used some metal rods or something to considerably cut down on filament, but it was more of a scripting experiment than anything else.

My initial design used considerably less filament in principle, but the required supports made it unworkable. Moving to the circular punch puts allowed me to print entirely without support.

3D Printer Covers For My Gas Stove.

3D Printer Covers For My Gas Stove.

My cat has a tendency of jumping up on the counter and hitting the knobs for the gas stove (Don't worry, we clean the surfaces regularly). So just to be safe, I designed a little cover that slides over the top of the knob so that way you can't accidentally hit them. I think they came out pretty well. Let me know what you think.

Book rest

Book rest

Made a book rest / stand, because i didn't want to keep putting it back in my library while reading it and didn't have enough space to lay it down next to where I read. Fits standard books up to 48mm thick. I was able to put the book i'm currently reading along with the Kindle paperwhite and still have some space. Also fit one of the largest books i own “Crime and punishment” around 700 pages with a little more space.

Bushings for AC unit

Bushings for AC unit

One night noticed a loud humming noise, and then went to check the unit and both the original front bushings were broken. Original ones were basic cylindrical ones with threads coming out both sides. However the holes between the AC unit and the mounting strut have a really large offset between them, so the original ones must have been in a really crooked and stressed position since the unit was installed.

AC side has a hex slot for a 8mm bolt, and the other one is just a through hole. Made with eSun 95a tpu.

Ps. I too noticed that I need to clean the units, but screw that its cold af.

lamp base weight holder

lamp base weight holder

I have this really nice lamp, but the base weight just disintegrated. Not only did the manufacturer use some kind os strange plastic that just fell apart, but the concrete used must have not had enough cement, or enough water, it just crumbled as well.

The base weight I designed is a bit smaller to avoid the curve at the outer edges. I also didn't want to take the lamp apart and remove the cord, so the mold is split and has a channel for the cord to go through. The two halves are held together with sheet metal screws through tabs on the ends.

I filled the molds with quickcrete and cured in an oven for several hours at 200 F.
