I designed and 3D printed a gumball machine with a working ratchet mechanism! This is my second "real" project in Fusion 360.

I wanted to share my second "completed" design after starting to learn Fusion 360. It's a fully 3D printed gumball dispenser with a working ratchet mechanism that only allows the knob to turn clockwise.

The hardest part was definitely the ratchet. My first attempt at a traditional ratchet and pawl setup was too small to work reliably with just printed parts. I eventually solved it by creating a single, flexible "spring-gear" that combines the spring and pawl into one piece.

My original plan was to also add a coin slot so the knob could only be turned when a coin is inserted, but that got a little too complicated for my current skills. That will have to wait for version 2.

The ball holder would look a lot better with transparent filament, but I didn't have any on hand at the moment.

This could be a perfect gift for dispensing candy or something small. Food safety with 3D prints can be a concern, so It's probably best to use individually wrapped sweets or use a food-safe coating on the parts if you plan to use it with unwrapped treats.

I've uploaded the model files if anyone wants to check it out or print their own. I'd love to hear what you think!

I'm proud of this air conditioner mount.

I'm proud of this air conditioner mount.

So we were gifted an air conditioner, but the mounting system with wrong/broken. I designed a plate that would securely fasten the exhaust hose to a 1" rigid insulation panel I cut to fit in the window opening. The design sandwiches the insulation between two fitted flanges and is (over-) secured with 6 M3 screws.

I expected to have to go through a lot of design iterations to get clips that would fit the hose securely and also be strong enough, but I got it on the first try. Hole in one!

I printed myself SAK scales

I printed myself SAK scales

So I printed myself some SAK scales to replace the old one that are warped. The bed texture adds some grip to the knife. Overall they feel better than the OEM ones. I took some random scales step file I found and made some tweaking and updates cause I like them to be really tight and without logo.

Doggy Gate Bracket

Doggy Gate Bracket

We’re adopting a baby golden retriever soon so I had to install a doggy gate for the stairs. Drew this with Sketchup online and it fit first try!

As a beginner with both drawing and 3D printing I’m really happy with how it turned out!! This is an amazing hobby.

Simple caps for stomp controller

Simple caps for stomp controller

As part of my new looping setup, I needed to be able to tell these buttons apart at a quick glance. I also needed them to be easier to hit, so these caps are 16mm in diameter, and they fit snugly and tight over the original buttons.

Turtlebeach Velocityone Flightstick Hats and Throttlegrips

Turtlebeach Velocityone Flightstick Hats and Throttlegrips

To the title, i guess both levers on the sides are not for throttle, but i guess everyone knows whats meant.

I recently bought a Turtlebeach Velocityone Flightstick that should have been broken for £20, but it turns out it all functions.

But it came with everything detached that is detachable.

So no hats, nothing on the levers on the sides.
So i decided to model a small set, and make it free for everyone to 3d print or let someone 3dprint it.

Here for everyone, have fun and happy flying:
