Printer clogs when increasing printing speed - should I increase the nozzle temperature?

25 Septiembre 2024 at 16:31

I have an Ender 3 V2 modded for direct drive extrusion and dual Z-axis. I'm trying to see how fast I can reliably print. It has happened more than once that the filament just stops exiting the nozzle mid-print, it clogs. Is this related to the nozzle temperature? If so, what temperature should I use?

Thank you.

Revisiting and Installing the Professional Firmware on a Creality Ender 3 S1

22 Septiembre 2024 at 17:00

I have done a video revisiting the installation process (on a Creality Ender 3 S1) for the Professional Firmware for the Ender 3 v2 and S1 series printers. In my experience, it is still one of the best custom Mrlin experiences.

Need help with design - sliding parts in box

Need help with design - sliding parts in box

Hello! I am needing help on designing some sliding parts that go inside a box. It's basically a slider that will move a plate up on a box. I first tried using cylinder in some slots as a "guide rail" but figured out that it the slide could rotate out of place. I then tried to have one side be a T to prevent that. There is still a ton of slop and it catches. Any help on how to better handle this would be great! On the other side of the box, I have a larger plate that uses 2 T-posts in the same way with a spring on the back. It is catching even more.

250g of miniatures from 1Kg of resin

17 Septiembre 2024 at 09:35

Finished my first bottle of resin. Between learning a bit, and having a few troubles which cause failed prints (not sticking to the build plate), with my fisrt 1 Kg of resin I ended up making 30 or 40 miniatures with their bases. In total it's around 250g of "good miniatures" while 750g went wasted between supports, mistakes and uncured but wasted resin.

Does anyone keep some stats on what is the waste ratio when things run smooth? (I guess I could sort of double the positive number getting to a 50-50 ratio)

I print 28 and 32 mm figures so maybe there's more waste due to the supports and rafts for small figures (but I don't see myself trying a large print anytime soon)

Mother board compatibility

Mother board compatibility

I made another post about the compatibility with the pi 4, tft to the stock mother board. A lot of people ended up recommending the skr e3 v3, however. I was scrolling on Amazon and came across another mother board branded by creality. Is this one compatible with the pi 4, and tft, if so which one is better.

Good day everyone, I received a Zortrax M200 and with it filaments of that brand as a gift. I have Z-ULTRAT, Z-ABS, Z-FLEX and Z-PETG. the problem is that i can't find the temperatures to set the nozzle and base to. If anyone has this information, I would be grateful if you could send it.

How Can 3D Printing Be Used in Everyday Life?

2 Septiembre 2024 at 05:20

Considering that 3D printing is gradually making its way into homes, how do you see it fitting into our lives?

Here are a few ideas I’ve come up with, but I’d love to hear more from you:

Home Repairs: Has any of you also used the 3D printer to repair items at home such as replacing a broken handle or make a particular part?

Personalized Items: It is also possible to make phone cases, key chains or even kitchen utensils if they are to be personalized. How many times do you print items in a day that makes your life a little more special?

Organizational Tools: Has anyone printed things to assist in the organization of the area; for example dividers for drawers, holders for cables or bins for storage? This is a perfect place to move forward, I think there’s so much one can do here!

Education and Learning: Are you parents or caregivers, have you tried using 3D printing as an educational toy to teach your child basic Science or Engineering principles at home? What have you found successful in the past?

Hobbies and Crafts: In what ways has 3D printing been involved in your hobbies such as creating model parts, costumes, or just for art’s sake? Off the top of your head, I’d like to know how some people use it?

I would like to hear your opinions and Recommendations on how 3D Printing Can Be Implemented in Our Daily Lives. What is the last thing that you may have printed, or what do you believe would revolutionize use in everyday practice?
