| | Opened the drywall and insulation below my window and printed a few parts so the air is guided from the printer enclosure to the outside. It comes out above the roof tiles but below some sort of rain guard that's part of the window. At 50% I can still feel air getting pushed out on the outside but can't hear the fan anymore inside. Probably enough to vent the fumes. I used an insulated air duct hose. The insulation and vapor barrier was done really shitty when the window was installed and I fixed everything during this project. I discovered a really nice and subtle light-effect by printing these string-art disks and letting them slowly rotate while shining a light through them. Now I want to make a functional prototype.
How does one go about rotating a disk that doesnt have a hub? Some sort of friction wheel at the rim with a stepper motor? Also I'm really not sure about what sort of bearing I should use for the disk . Ideally it's mostly 3D-printed but that's not a must.
I really appreciate ideas!
