Windows 11 24H2 funciona mal y crashea con varios Assassin’s Creed, Star Wars Outlaws y Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  • Assassin’s Creed Origins
  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
  • Star Wars Outlaws
  • Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Sony Reportedly Developing A PS5 Portable System

A successor (of sorts) to PlayStation Portable and PS Vita is reportedly in development at Sony. The company is apparently working on a handheld PS5 system that would seemingly compete with Nintendo's upcoming Switch 2 and Valve's Steam Deck.

According to Bloomberg, the PS5 portable system is years away from hitting the market--if it does at all. There is still a possibility Sony decides to pull the plug on the handheld. The report states that the PlayStation Portal was originally planned as a similar product to Steam Deck before becoming dependent on streaming via a PS5 console. However, a new PlayStation Portal update has introduced a cloud-streaming beta for PS Plus Premium members. This means a PS5 isn't required to play games on the device.

Sony isn't alone in wanting to expand to the handheld market. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has been very open about his desires for an Xbox handheld, though it, too, is "a few years out," if it ever releases. Meanwhile, Nintendo will likely unveil the Switch 2 in the coming months, and the company confirmed the upcoming system will be backward compatible with the current Switch earlier this month.

Silent Hill 2's Latest Patch Addresses PS5 Pro Performance Issues

The PlayStation 5 Pro came out of the gate earlier this month with its $700 price tag and a list of PS5 Pro-enhanced game that was supposed to offer early adapters a peak gaming experience. However, players soon reported that Silent Hill 2, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and other games actually looked worse on PS5 Pro. Now, Konami and developer Bloober Team have addressed the issues on a new patch for Silent Hill 2.

Silent Hill 2's 1.06 patch wasn't just created for the PS5 Pro problems. It's also adjusting and fixing a few issues with the PC version on Steam, but the PS5 Pro fixes are the highlight here. Prior to this update, Silent Hill 2 players on PS5 Pro noticed a number of glitches and visual distortions that weren't happening to the game on standard PlayStation 5 consoles.

Patch 1.06 for SILENT HILL 2 has just landed on Steam and PlayStation 5! It includes various adjustments for both versions of the game and fixes for graphics issues on PlayStation 5 Pro.

— Bloober Team (@BlooberTeam) November 22, 2024

Ironically, this is not the first time a Silent Hill 2 update has led to more problems than fixes. Silent Hill 2's 1.04 patch was intended to improve the game's performance on Steam and cut down on crashes on PS5. Unfortunately, it also introduced a few game-breaking bugs that were meant to be dealt with as of the 1.05 patch. But that's when players noticed the issues with the game's performance on PS5 Pro.

The Simpsons Hit & Run Dev Gives Tragic Update On Why We Never Got A Sequel

2003's The Simpsons: Hit & Run is a beloved classic game that never got a sequel, and now another key detail has come to light that probably won't make fans very happy to hear.

Lead designer Joe McGinn said in an interview with Summoning Salt that Radical Entertainment wanted to make a sequel. In fact, McGinn said the studio had the rights for three sequels for no additional licensing fee.

"Gracie Films offered our publisher a deal to make three sequels, with all Simpsons rights and voice actors, for the preferred price of zero dollars (we wouldn't have to pay anything for the Simpsons license in other words)," McGinn said (via GamesRadar).

This Official Zelda-Themed Wireless Controller Is Only $25 At Amazon For Black Friday

The Legend of Zelda fans can score a pretty sweet deal on a wireless Nintendo Switch controller themed around the iconic action-adventure series. As part of Amazon's Black Friday Sale, PowerA's Legend of Zelda: Sworn Protector Bluetooth Controller is discounted to only $25, which is the best price yet for the $45 controller.

PowerA Wireless Switch Controller - Zelda: Sworn Protector

$25 (was $45)

Officially licensed by Nintendo, the Sworn Protector controller design is themed around Link's best-known weapons. The Hylian Shield and Master Sword from Ocarina of Time are emblazoned on the left grip. The off-white base color is accented by blue face buttons and triggers that match Link's shield. The red Hylian Crest in the center of the controller is a nice touch.

As for its technical features, the controller has two back buttons that can be remapped on the fly, which is a nice perk, especially in this price range. Since it connects via Bluetooth, you can also use it on PC and mobile devices. The controller does have an unusual quirk, though: It's powered by AA batteries. Your first pair is included, and you should get roughly 30 hours of playtime before you need to swap them out. Plus, you could always opt for rechargeable batteries, such as this Energizer kit with four batteries included for only $15 (50% off).

Third-party Switch controllers don't have NFC readers for Amiibo or HD rumble--this controller lacks rumble altogether. And while some PowerA Switch controllers have motion controls, this one does not.

If you want all of those features, you'll need to opt for Nintendo's Switch Pro Controller, which is on sale for $50 at multiple major retailers as part of Nintendo's official Black Friday deals. The Pro Controller is almost never discounted from its $70 price, so this best-ever deal is worth considering, too. You can also grab a pair of Neon Red and Blue Joy-Con Controllers for $60, down from $80.

A new Sonic movie is racing into theaters soon, and the best way to prepare for it is with a Black Friday discount on the recently released Sonic X Shadow Generations. To round out your collection, you can get Paramount's Knuckles miniseries on Blu-ray with a steelbook case for $28.79.

Sonic X Shadow Generations

$30 (was $50)

Sonic X Shadow Generations includes two games. First is a remaster of Sonic Generations, which is a celebration of Sonic throughout the ages with a mix of classic 2D levels inspired by the Blue Blur's Sega Genesis days and fast-paced 3D levels that feel like they were lifted directly from the Sonic Adventure games on the Dreamcast.

The other campaign is an all-new storyline where you play as Sonic's anti-hero counterpart, Shadow. Similar to Sonic's campaign, Shadow's stages play out across 2D and 3D arenas, but they feel different thanks to the powers you can unlock to help you overcome various obstacles in your way. This Amazon Black Friday deal is a great chance to add the game to your library for cheap.

The $20 discount is available at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target.

Sonic the Hedgehog Black Friday Game Deals

A few other Sonic games are also on sale for Black Friday if you feel like building a small library of speedy adventures, including Sonic Frontiers, which is a massive open world game that gives Sonic a big playground to speed around in, titanic boss fights, and a soundtrack that is incredibly metal. For a more classic Sonic feel, check out Sonic Origins Plus and Sonic Superstars, or you can get both Sonic Mania and Team Sonic Racing in a bundle deal for Switch.

$75 (was $150)

The 1,342-piece building set is officially licensed by Microsoft and recommended for experienced Mega (or Lego) builders. It builds a 3:4-scale replica of the console. Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Gets $30 Price Cut For Black Friday

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the Switch's must-play games, and now it's available for its lowest price yet at major retailers. Best Buy and Target have Tears of the Kingdom's physical edition for only $40, saving you $30. Tears of the Kingdom is part of Nintendo's official Black Friday lineup, but the expectation was that it would cost $50. Like many Nintendo games, Tears of the Kingdom is rarely marked down, so we wouldn't be surprised if retailers sold out before Black Friday sales end. Especially because it will be a popular choice for holiday shoppers who pick up a Switch console bundle for $75 off.

The extra $10 off is a nice surprise, though you could possibly save even more. Walmart will have Tears of the Kingdom for $30 tomorrow, November 25, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. The deal coincides with the launch of Walmart's Black Friday week deals. The catch here is that the offer is exclusive to paid Walmart+ subscribers until 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. There's a very good chance it sells out before the deal opens up to everyone, but if you have a subscription already, make sure to check Walmart's listing when the sale begins to snag a copy.

It's worth noting Walmart+ is only $49/year right now thanks to a 50%-off promotion. Along with early access to sales events, subscribers get free two-day shipping on orders placed online, same-day delivery from your local store, a Paramount+ subscription, and other nice perks.

A New Victrix Pro KO Leverless FIght Stick Is Coming Soon, Preorders Available Now

As leverless fight stick controllers have become popular among fighting game players, more companies have entered the market with their own all-button models. The newest challenger in the space is the upcoming Victrix Pro KO Leverless controller from Turtle Beach. Priced at $250, this will be released on December 20 in PlayStation and Xbox models, and preorders are available now.

Turtle Beach Victrix Pro KO Leverless Fight Stick

$250 | Releases December 20

While this isn't the first Victrix levelerless fight stick, the Victrix Pro KO is the thinnest and lightest model in the lineup. That said, it doesn't skimp on durability, featuring a high-quality aluminum top plate and swappable MX Speed Silver RGB button switches. The stick features 16 main buttons with a layout optimized by fighting game legend Momochi--though all inputs are remappable, and there are four extra button slots if you want to shift the layout.

The Victrix Pro KO comes in two models: A PlayStation version that supports PS5, PS4, and PC, and an Xbox model that works with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Both launch on December 20 for $250--which is comparatively low for premium-level leverless fight sticks. Preorders are available at Amazon.

Leverless fight sticks swap out a joystick for a set of four directional buttons. While it takes some getting used to for those who learned on a traditional fighting stick, leverless models are gaining popularity, as the dedicated directional keys make it easier to perform special moves and combos that require exact button inputs. Some players also find leverless fight sticks to be more comfortable and ergonomic, as there's reduced strain on your wrists when using one.

If you're interested in a leverless fight stick but don't want to wait for the Victrix Pro KO's December 20 launch date, you could opt for the Victrix Pro FS-12 instead, which is compatible with PC, PS5, and PS4. It has a bulkier design than the Victrix Pro KO and is more expensive at $400, but if you act fast, you can grab one for just $320, thanks to Amazon's Black Friday sale. If you'd prefer something more traditional, there is also a Victrix Pro FS model that includes a joystick. Both models are available in white or purple color options.
