Inazuma Eleven Finally Kicks Off on PS5, PS4 from 21st August

An important debut.

It’s been a long road to the, er, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road – but here we are! At last! Level-5’s legendary soccer RPG will make it PS5 and PS4 debut on 21st August.

The game will be available worldwide, but there’s a catch for physical fans: it’ll only be available digitally – even in its native Japan. On the positive side, there’ll be crossplay and cross-save across all versions of the game.

EA Sports F1 25 Makes Some Sweeping Changes to My Team Career Mode on PS5

EA Sports F1 25, due for release on PS5 at the end of May, is the first iteration to be exclusive to current-gen hardware, and developer Codemasters is freshening things up even further with changes to its My Team career mode.

The above video talks through the overhauled mode, with the headline change being the role you play in My Team. Instead of your character being both owner and driver of your team, you'll instead play a more management-focused role as a team owner.

Reminder: PS Plus Extra, Premium Lose 8 Excellent PS5, PS4 Games in a Few Days

Many great indie titles leaving.

Eight fantastic PS5, PS4 indie titles will reach their PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium expiration dates next week, meaning they won't be playable on the two tiers of Sony's service anymore even if you've redeemed or downloaded them. They all leave in order to allow April 2025's selection of new titles onto the membership, which go live on the same day.

Netflix's Devil May Cry Has Been Such a Hit a Second Season Has Already Been Confirmed

There’s a meme making out like Netflix cancels everything after its first season, but Devil May Cry has performed well enough to get another run.

The Netflix animated series, led by Adi Shankar – who, incidentally, appeared at a WWE event recently dressed as Dante – attracted an estimated 5.3 million views in one week. It’s now getting a second season.

Rumour: Gears of War Could Finally Be Revealed for PS5 at the Xbox Showcase

PS5 fans who’ve spent generations itching for some active reload action on the DualSense may finally get their wish at the Xbox Showcase, as connected leaker extas1s says he expects a bundle featuring the original Xbox 360 trilogy to be announced during the event.

We’ve been hearing for quite some time that Marcus Fenix is poised to make his PlayStation bow, and the long-rumoured Gears of War Collection looks like it’ll be announced within the next couple of months. Presumably, this is all designed to get PS5 owners acclimatised to the series ahead of the new game, Gears of War E-Day.

The Last of Us Has Been Released on PS5 Again, with a New Physical Collector's Edition Coming in July

The Last of Us Complete bundles both games together.

PlayStation has officially announced The Last of Us Complete — a newly packaged collection that includes both The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PS5.

Complete will be available later today through the PS Store. The digital version is priced at $99.99 / £94.99.

The conclusion to Street Fighter 6’s second season is close, and here’s your first look at returnee Elena, who first debuted in Street Fighter III: New Generation. She’ll join the fracas from 5th June, alongside the newly announced Fighters Edition of the game.

While this trailer doesn’t feature any of the new challenger’s gameplay, we do get to see her introduction in World Tour, which as flamboyant as you’d expect.

2K itself accidentally spills the beans.

Publisher 2K appears to have accidentally leaked its own release date for Mafia: The Old Country, with a Steam news post promoting an upcoming PAX East panel stating the game will be out for PS5 on 8th August 2025. The article no longer contains the text in question, but an original copy was captured by Twitter profile @videotechuk_.

The Alters Confirmed for June, Brings Clone Wars With It

PS5 version has an official date.

11 Bit Studios has today revealed The Alters, its outer space management game where you must create multiple clones of yourself to survive a hostile planet, will release for PS5 on 13th June 2025. Catch a new trailer above.

As the voiceover in the footage reveals, you have three days to escape the alien planet, which can be accomplished by creating clones of yourself. The catch is that they all come with different personality traits, memories, and experiences, based on the routes protagonist Jan Dolski's life could have taken. As well as working together to escape the surface, you'll also need to reckon with these possibilities and confront them, along with all the emotional baggage they might bring.

Microsoft's Age of Empires 2 PS5 Port Confirmed for 6th May

Playable on 1st May with Premium Edition.

Microsoft has confirmed the PS5 version of Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition will release on 6th May 2025, or on 1st May if you pre-order the Premium Edition. Both it and the standard version are available for pre-order now, with the base edition costing £29.99 / $39.99. The Premium Edition is £44.99 / $59.99.

Originally released in 1999, the upcoming PS5 version sports "4K Ultra HD graphics, a fully remastered soundtrack", and three expansions built into the base game. Those are Lords of the West, Dynasties of India, and Dawn of the Dukes.

We understand lawyers are employed to get their clients off the hook, but these comments from Ubisoft’s legal team are not exactly going to help the embattled French publisher’s image.

The company is currently fighting a case involving The Crew, which you may recall was taken offline last year, rendering owned copies of the racer worthless.
