Bloodborne's Switch 2 Spiritual Successor Could Come to PS5 Yet

FromSoftware owns the IP and is self-publishing in Japan.

FromSoftware owns The Duskbloods intellectual property, opening up the possibility of a PS5 port in the future.

While it’s been confirmed that Nintendo has some kind of investment into the online-based Bloodborne spiritual successor, the Elden Ring developer submitted a trademark for the name in Japan recently. The official website also notes that it owns the copyright.

Switch 2 Pre-Order Freeze Underscores Potential Impact of US Tariffs on PS5

The United States is on the verge of imposing significantly higher tariffs on all imported goods, and onlookers are concerned about the immense impact this will likely have on the price of PS5.

From 5th April 2025, a blanket 10 per cent will be applied to all goods coming into the US, and in addition, greater levies will be put in place for some 60 countries from 9th April.

Single Player Games Are Still Coming from Dark Souls, Elden Ring Dev

Nintendo there from the start with The Duskbloods.

Despite its next two revealed games in Elden Ring Nightreign and The Duskbloods being focused on multiplayer, studio FromSoftware is stressing it hasn't abandoned its bread and butter: single player titles.

In a new interview with Nintendo following the Switch 2 Direct that unveiled The Duskbloods, director Hidetaka Miyazaki said the developer "still intends to actively develop single player focused games" like Elden Ring that "embrace our more traditional style".

Sony to Turn Horizon Zero Dawn into a Movie, Not a TV Show

Due to "creative" issues on TV project.

Sony has made the decision to change its Horizon Zero Dawn adaptation from a TV show with Netflix to a movie.

Talking to Variety, the PlayStation Productions lead Asad Qizilbash said the TV project in collaboration with Netflix was not "creatively going how we wanted to". Now, a Horizon Zero Dawn film will be made instead. Qizilbash also said as part of the interview that Sony is considering turning Astro Bot into a feature film.

Almost All PS5 Fans Are Against $80 Games

Must be funny.

Only 5% of PS5 fans “don’t have a problem” with $80 games. The remaining 95% are against a hypothetical price increase, as could become a reality due to Nintendo’s pricing of Mario Kart World.

But of the 1,500 gamers polled, 30% said they would “grudgingly” cough up the increased fee for “select titles”. It’d be interesting to know which franchises fans deem worthy of the price; we’d assume blockbusters like GTA and God of War.

Astro Bot Could Hit the Big Screen for a Movie

Sony considering an adaptation.

Sony could turn its excellent platforming franchise Astro Bot into a movie in the future, as PlayStation Productions lead Asad Qizilbash has confirmed the company is "absolutely" considering a film adaptation.

Expanding on the suggestion, Qizilbash explained to Variety how Sony picked up on last year's PS5 entry earning many awards and building up an audience of enthusiasts. "Those are very early indicators for us to want to try and grow that franchise and grow that IP. So we’re constantly looking at that."

New The Last of Us 2 PS5 Patch 2.0 Is Breaking Ellie, Abby Upgrades

Skills and holsters are all gone.

Naughty Dog deployed update 2.0 for the PS5 version of The Last of Us 2 Remastered earlier today to coincide with the PC port's release, but if you still have the option to, you might be better off cancelling the download for now.

PS5 players in the middle of a playthrough of the game are reporting in their droves that patch 2.0 has broken all of the character upgrades they've unlocked so far, removing them altogether. Depending on where you are in the game, this could leave either Ellie or Abby with no enhancements and no additional holsters to quickly equip other weapons from.
