How can I make the left one turn out like the right one?

How can I make the left one turn out like the right one?

Trying to print out a green lantern ring. Left side is printed upside down with the logo on the build plate, right side is printed facing up with the bottom of the ring on the build plate.

I don’t want to print it facing up because I need a brim on the bottom to do it and the rest of the ring comes out worse. Everything about the ring on the left looks better except the filament has come loose and turned out weird in the recessed areas of the symbol.

Clearly seems like the issue is due to gravity which is why I switched the orientation but the rest of the ring looked worse when printing face up. How can I change the settings to make the logo not end up like that when printing face down? Fairly new to printing and I am using the Bambulab P1S

3D printed LoFree Inspired Mouse

3D printed LoFree Inspired Mouse

3D printed Lofree inspired Wireless Mouse.
Printed with ABS with final weight of 84 grams including the electronics.
I plan to using an actual mechanical switch for left and right clicks but the travel distance is 2 to 3 times of a regular mouse switch. So maybe Ultra low profile switches or those type of Scissor switch with 1mm of travel distance.

Converting my ender3 into a 5axis printer

Converting my ender3 into a 5axis printer

hey everyone, wanted to share with you my journey of converting a broken ender3 into a 5axis printer for non-planar 3d printing.

i’ve added two additional rotary degrees of freedom which are homed using optical endstops. (hardware has been fully duck tested as shown in video)

i’m now in the process of writing some scrappy software to perform conical slicing of simple shapes.

will keep y’all updated!

Finalized my chess set design.

Finalized my chess set design.

The project is kind of old now and I first made this chess set completly out of PLA. Left it for a while because I did not like the plastic asthehtics but did not have tools to make it out of wood.

This is it now. Feel old yet?

This version is much more sturdy. Board itself is made entirely out of wood and cork. The figures are held inside the tower via magnets, wich snaps damn satifyingly.

The only thing left in PLA is the bottom and Top part and I think this looks kind of neat in that black tone. Will keep it that way I think. However I will try and replace the inner cylinder to wood as well.

What do you think? You can see an older version in the background of picture 2

We Brought 3D Printed Telescopes and a 3D Printer to Schools in Honduras!

Working with my friend I was able to send 3 of my 3D printed telescopes and a 3D printer as well as astronomy books to Honduras all for free! This is going to schools and will allow students to utilize a 3D printer and look up at the stars!

You can learn more about these projects and check out my 3D printed Travel Telescope design here! :)

Just so frikking happy with my Dobby. Start of a collection.

Just so frikking happy with my Dobby. Start of a collection.

New to 3D printing. We bought the bambu x1c during this 3 years anniversary sale. (So two weeks now)

I’ve decided that I’m going to change our guest room to my own little fantasy world. Slowly building it with bigger and smaller pieces from my favorite fantasy books/ movies.

First one was baby groot and last night I let the printer make this one.

I’ll edit to credit the makers.
