Rubber muffler hanger broke on friends car and the temporary zip tie repair sucked so I 3d printed a hanger from tpu.

My kid stripped the teeth off of my tripod crank. I finally printed a new one. It worked first try. With calipers, all things are printable.

Volkswagens have this nice feature, where the camera hides behind the VW badge. It's nice because that way it's always clean without ever needing to touch it. Unfortunately, it can clearly break. I did initially ask a service center for a diagnosis. They did figure out the problem, but would only swap the entire housing including logo and the camera. The quote was a 1000€. Insanity. The camera works fine, it's just this small piece of plastic that's the problem. So I drew the model and paid one local Guy 10€ to print it for me. I don't have a printer, and library only has PLA. This is made from PETG.

The fob for an old Volvo I bought was gummy and disintegrating so I made this one for it. The first prototype was traditionally sculpted. The second was fdm printed. Once the fit was right I went to resin.

Is there such a thing as a good 3D scanner for $500 or less? What about with a little more budget?

Use case is for trim parts for an old Kei truck. If I can make some good replacements for my truck I figure I can send the STL’s out there for the community to help keep these things going.
