Makita's battery shaped bit holders don't actually fit the tool. But now they do!
Tennis racket hanger
![]() | Made a simple wall hanger for my kids tennis racket. I’m usually into making cute stuff, but it’s fun to whip out something useful in a while. [link] [comments] |

Motorcycle Suspension linkage.
![]() | Technically not functional? I suppose… but it’s functioned enough to save me £200 and only needing to have it CNC’d once instead of twice… right? Ignoring the glaringly obvious fact that it doesn’t fit and I need to make the O end about 10mm thicker and the clevis about 10mm thinner… oh and the fact it’s plastic and not structural. Not really a waste of 5 hours of printing and several (too many) in CAD… right? [link] [comments] |

More farm parts!
![]() | This is a monitor adapter for Ram mounts. This monitor is going to be used for 4 cameras for and air drill(yes, you are seeing that right, a 22" screen in a tractor. Ridiculously sturdy. First time using gyroid. Infill was at 60%. Made it out of petg. 150g of filament, probably could have used less infill😅. [link] [comments] |
6x2mm Magnet Dispenser & Storage
![]() | I got tired of fumbling around with little magnets, so I sketched a design for something to help me out, sat down with FreeCAD, and stayed up WAY too late last night. I'm sure I spent more hours designing this thing than it will ever save me in my life. Afterwards I searched on printables and saw there are plenty of designs for tools that do the same job, more or less. But hey, I had fun, and my gizmo does have it's unique selling points. It works pretty great, but as I'm completely new to 3D modeling and printing, it's no masterpiece. If you want one you may be better off with someone else's design. But if this one in particular blows your hair back, let me know and I'll publish the files somewhere. (Is there a consensus on the "best" site to do that?) [link] [comments] |
Vacuum-forming with 3D-printed positives
Into mechanics and currently I am experimenting with 3D-printing and my new vacuum former.
Just got it during my spring break, from MY YARD.
Made me an RC car cover! What do you think of it?
Can't wait to try more stuff... . Used PET but was wondering if there are any more impact resistant materials?
Just a tip, mind yourself to dehumidify your sheets first. That solved the last imperfections I had. Mine came with an dehumidifying cycle.
