ISO 3D printing business to commission

This could be a long shot, and I'm hoping a post like this is allowed in this group, but I am looking for a small business (preferably) able to print a Fallout 76 Brotherhood Recon helmet for my boyfriend. He has the file for it already, but the initial person who was going to print it for him pulled out last second with little to no explanation after multiple promises. As I said my boyfriend already has the file for it to be able to send. My only ask is that it won't be outrageous pricing, our budget isn't the biggest. I said small business in the beginning because I'm looking for a place that won't have a wait time of months for the printed product.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

What do we call these “localized scratched wall” problem, & how to diagnose & resolve it?

What do we call these “localized scratched wall” problem, & how to diagnose & resolve it?

Printer: It’s a hacked up JGAurora with a Creality K1 Max nozzle and direct drive Extruder, printing at 60mm/s and 300mm/s2 with 0.6 mm nozzle with Geetech PETG.

Background: Normally prints out of this heavily modified printer are fantastic. And very reliable output. Also this is not the first time I am seeing this exact problem. In my 4 years of 3D printing, I have seen this issue show up in many different printers, and it typically happens in certain models, and a certain corner of the part.

Notice that the rest of the part is pretty decent. Yes, maybe some stringing, because it’s a PETG with a 0.6mm nozzle. But still decent.

But then this scratched up corner shows up out of the blue. I never understood this. The standard calibrations all work wonderfully. I finally had to ask.

Model: I designed this in fusion 360, where I first designed this as a solid block and shelled it to 1.3mm shell, because with a 0.6 mm nozzle, sometimes doing an exact 1.2mm wall, causes some walls to be a single wall.

Research so far: Had a hard time finding this problem. Searching “peeled wall” / “scratched wall” shows whole different problems. It looks like severe under-extrusion on the outside wall, but only in 1 corner. Which makes no sense.

question: printing sculptures

Hello 3D printing friends,

I wanted to ask if you could guide me in purchasing a 3D printer for printing sculptures. I'm looking to print sculptures without too much detail and with relatively simple shapes. Many years ago, I had my first 3D printer, which I have since stopped using due to continuous extruder clogs and bed leveling problems. It was back when the technology was just starting out. Are these still issues today? What printer would you recommend? I don't need anything SUPER fancy, but I do want something reliable, ideally with auto-leveling.

Looking for a Partner to Start a 3D Printing Design Venture with Me!

Hi everyone,

I've recently been inspired by the work of Crème Atelier and I'm super excited to start creating design objects using 3D printing. I'm currently learning how to use Shapr3D, and I was wondering if there are others out there who share the same passion and would be interested in joining me on this adventure.

I don't have a background in design, but I find the idea incredibly fun and motivating. My goal is to create beautiful, unique objects that we can sell and make a name for ourselves in the design world. By the way, I live in Switzerland.

If you're interested or have any tips, let's connect!

Looking forward to hearing from you!
