Si bien la actualización next-gen de The Witcher 3 lanzada el 14 de diciembre de 2022 para PC, PlayStation 5 y Xbox Series ya incluía la versión 12.0 del mod de texturas «HD Reworked Project» del modder polaco Halk Hogan, este continúo con su gran labor de mejoras texturas en The Witcher III y hoy nos trae hoy la nueva versión del mod llamado «HD Reworked Project Next Edition» y finalmente está disponible (descarga en este enlace) hoy junto con un trailer de 15 minutos luego de haberse anunciado hace más de un año.

El modder afirma que HD Reworked NextGen Edition tendrá texturas de alta calidad utilizando la nueva técnica de mapeo implementada en la versión Next-Gen del juego. Gracias a esto, muchas texturas en HDRP NextGen Edition serán mucho más realistas. Como siempre, el mod incluye como siempre miles de mejoras en texturas, objetos, y más. Es necesario remarcar que el pack también funcionará en la versión 1.31 o 1.32 del juego (la versión previa al update next-gen).

Este nuevo trailer de 15 minutos de la edición next-gen de HD Reworked Project nos muestra varias escenas comparativas detallando las mejoras en la vegetación, esculturas e interiores de algunos lugares, pudiendo observar una gran diferencia en las texturas de hojas, maderas, metales, piedra y otros materiales.

Miles Morales bridges the gap between the two numbered entries in the series. It's a smaller-scale experience that feels more like a meaty expansion than a brand-new game.

New players will want to opt for the Ultimate Edition, a value pack that includes Miles Morales and Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, a great enhanced version of the 2018 PS4 exclusive. Though PlayStation sells the remaster separately on PSN, it honestly doesn't make sense to buy it this way, not when there's a deal that drops the Ultimate Edition to $40. All we’ve heard about for what feels like an eternity are layoffs and job losses, so it’s a little unusual to see Koei Tecmo talking about doubling down on AAA titles and growing its workforce from 2,500 employees to 5,000.

Still, the Japanese publisher – which will release Dynasty Warriors: Origins early next year – believes there’s room for growth in the traditional console market, as it reckons mobile gaming has saturated and that consumers will gradually transition from smartphones to PC and systems like the PS5. Game preservation is more important than ever. As our industry matures, the thought of losing valuable source code, design documents, and artwork feels unthinkable – but it happens all the time. Sony has taken steps to prevent that, assigning preservation expert Garret Fredley and a few of his colleagues the task of creating a secure archive of all PlayStation games – both past and present.

And in a rare update on X (or Twitter), he revealed this week that the project had officially reached the 500TB milestone.

La Zona de Exclusión de Chornóbil cambió radicalmente tras la segunda explosión en 2006. World of Warcraft is celebrating its 20-year anniversary today, November 23, 2024. Below, we talk with key developers about the journey to make the game what it is today, and the future ahead.

Two decades ago, World of Warcraft burst onto the scene and changed gaming forever. The once-niche MMORPG genre became mainstream overnight. Blizzard took ideas that came before in games like Everquest and refined, polished, and further elaborated on them until what was left would appeal to the gaming masses. The result was "WoW" becoming a household name and a cultural phenomenon in a way most video game creators can only dream of, with millions and millions of players willing to pay a $15-a-month subscription to this day for the privilege of continuing their digital adventures in the fantasy world of Azeroth.

It's hardly a surprise the WoW that first launched 20 years ago on November 23, 2004, while technically still the same game, is vastly different to the current version of the MMO players play today. Its most recent expansion alone, The War Within, added account-wide progression and a new endgame activity for solo players, two ideas that would have been unheard of even a decade ago but which have been received with near-universal praise from the game's community.

It's-A Me, Mario, the talking action figure has over 30 built-in sound effects and phrases, 15 points of articulation. Naturally, Mario will say things like "Woo-hoo" and "It's-A Me, Mario," because he wants to make sure you never forget his name.
